✨ In case you missed it ✨ On June 22, 2024, CAPSITE hosted a 12-mile bike tour in Washington DC to highlight several bicycle facility projects that were designed by our members. The 12-mile loop route visited several recently completed facilities in the city, such as along the 4th St SW, 15th St NW, Virginia Ave NW, 20th St NW, 9th St NW corridors and the Metropolitan Branch Trail. 🚵♂️ Along the route, volunteers from the 16 bike tour attendees provided brief explanations of project development, unique features, and design constraints for each project. The tour helped highlight the continuing effort that the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is making in implementing Active Transportation projects, and showcased some of the many safe and sustainable multimodal transportation facilities around Washington DC that our members were involved in.
