What do Aggieland, hockey and engineering have in common? They are all passions of one dedicated Aggie, Glenn Hart ’78!
There are not many people who get to marry their passions with their careers, but Hart is one of the lucky ones! An Aggie and hockey enthusiast from a young age, he has found ways in adulthood to keep the things he loves most in life close!

When I started my fellowship at the Wisconsin PGA, I did not realize how much of a rewarding experience it would be. I have had the opportunity to be fully immersed in a Section's Operations and have learned so much from this experience. As a fellow, I have had the pleasure of writing an article for pga.com! Check out the latest feature and my published work, "' There is a Space For Us in This Industry': A First-Person Perspective on the Power of PGA WORKS"!
For you golfers out there, check out this clip from my nephew Alex Lobeck! Really great insight speaking to how important the trajectory of our thoughts are when we are thinking about our next move. ⛳️

Exam Fear is Real...
And, even the best of the best folks get it after investing months in it to prepare for D-Day.
I saw the same fear among the elite athletes & novices such as myself.
I had never had such fear while attempting a full marathon but attempting 72 km in the Ladakh Marathon where more than 60 km of the 72 km race is at 4,000 m above sea level was a different ball game altogether.
It is not about the distances.
It is not about the timelines.
It is the human zeal to challenge yourself to the extreme and then relish what the mind & body are capable of doing.
The icing on the cake is when you have fellow runners attempting the same. The spirit of #community takes over.
Just imagine,
All of us know what we signed up for...
All of us understand how we prepare & train for it...
All of us estimate what effort will go behind it...
The #community is where there is the exchange of knowledge & support.
There were folks in the group who were attempting for multiple times.
Some folks had not succeeded the last time & came back much better prepared.
However, when the race started it was a celebration...
A celebration of human endurance.
The weather became immaterial as the spirits were high.
There were 32 of us who dropped out of the race in between thanks to the challenges of the terrain and the rest of the total of 250 completed it.
No one treated us a failure or a dropout. But, all of them encouraged me to come back the next time to attempt the challenge.
#VinEatRepeat
Where else have you seen such a spirit other than community?
Signing off on Friday with the above question.

The Oxford Cambridge race on March 30th offered a captivating spectacle with profound implications for the business landscape this year. While all participants merit commendation, certain aspects warrant special attention.
Cambridge's aggressive yet disciplined start showcased their strategic prowess, nearly overtaking Oxford while adhering strictly to the rules and principles of fair play. Despite repeated warnings from the referee (referred to as "judge" in rowing, with significant authority), their adherence to the regulations prevented any penalization. Merely warnings were issued. This astute strategy allowed them to seize the lead from the outset.
Particularly noteworthy was the remarkable perseverance of Cambridge's stroke, who pushed his physical limits to the extreme. Despite nearing exhaustion, he maintained an unwavering rhythm, even resorting to unconventional methods such as swinging his oar more in the air than in the water during the final stretch. His relentless dedication not only propelled the team to victory but also necessitated assistance from teammates for disembarkation, underscoring the sacrifices made in pursuit of success. He was so exhausted that he couldn't even get out of the boat at the end, his teammates had to carry him.
Were the Cambridge athletes stronger? More athletic? Did they have better boats? Longer oars? None of these mattered; they just knew the rules better, had read the regulations better, they were more adept at handling the wind, currents... And were willing to put their lives on the line.
In essence, the parallels with the business world are unmistakable. Success hinges not solely on inherent advantages but on a combination of strategic acumen, adherence to rules and regulations, and an unrelenting commitment to excellence.
Congratulations to Cambridge, the victory of economists over lawyers is always delightful... 😎
