#LetsKickOff Big 5 Leagues – Clubs Revenue Across the Big 5 Leagues, the primary revenue source for football clubs are the broadcasting rights. The value of these rights has been increasing consistently over the last 20 years, and are projected to keep rising for years to come. Commercial income occupies the 2nd position as a source of revenue for football clubs, representing all the revenue generated from sponsorship deals. Matchday revenue, which includes ticket and in-stadium sales, represents the 3rd biggest source of revenue for football clubs. Finally, we can’t forget about merchandise sales, player transfers, and prize money, all included in “Others” in the graphic below.
