The percentage of #StartFund projects implemented through consortia, where two or more agencies work together, has skyrocketed from just 3% in 2015 to 67% in 2023. This collaborative approach, which leverages the strengths of both local and international actors, is demonstrably improving the efficiency and speed of delivering aid. We look at how working in consortia can contribute to making humanitarian action more locally led here: https://lnkd.in/etUSHC-y #StartFundat10

To B or not to B 🤔 (we've just been re-certified as a B Corp!) For us at Ethinvest, a core principle is for our workers, clients, community and environment to work together for profit and purpose. Whilst the road to becoming (and maintaining) a #BCorp is still very steep - it’s an uphill rocky mountain we were committed to climb again this year. So, you can say we are quite proud to report that we have just been B Corp re-certified 🌏 📰 ✔ Check out these 10 other Australian companies who also believe it is better to B, than not to B, and who are driving some serious impact in Australia: Who Gives A Crap Karst® ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects Future Super Bank Australia iEqualChange (i=Change) Eat Me Chutneys Unico Zelo Sendle Harvey See the comments for more info on our #BCorp impact score! #businessforgood #impactinvesting #ethicalcompany B Lab Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand https://lnkd.in/g9sExzgB

This needs coverage! We know already that there is huge #disparity in access to natural spaces with those from poorer or ethnic #diverse groups having the least access to public footpaths, and #greenspaces . Knowing the incredibly powerful #health benefits of walking and being in #nature, we need to encourage funding such as this to be driven into those under funded areas to make sure those health benefits are accessible by ALL, and not just the fortunate few. If you live in, or know someone who lives in an area with little to no natural public spaces, I encourage you to put yourself forward for this funding, or highlight it with the powers that be in your local area. Access to nature should be an equal right. Further reading: Whitest parts of England and Wales have 144% more local paths, study finds https://lnkd.in/eqd53Mvx Inequalities in local government spending on cultural, environmental and planning services: a time-trend analysis in England, Scotland, and Wales https://lnkd.in/eGcVs6Eu
Have you been getting enough vitamin N? 🌳 Nature is proven to be good for us and recent Hubbub polling found spending time in it makes three-quarters of us feel better. Yet, over a third of the UK (36%) spends less than an hour a week in nature. The #NatureHubs Fund is part of our ambition to change this. We’re funding 50 new or enhanced green spaces to bring nature closer to people and people closer to nature – and funding is open to apply now! Have a root around here: https://lnkd.in/eJ__Dw5T
