📣 Introducing Raven Indigenous Outcomes Funds 📣 We are excited to announce the launch of Raven Indigenous Outcomes Funds (RIOF Inc.), the latest initiative within the Raven Funds Group. Founded in 2023, RIOF Inc., brings together private, philanthropic, and public capital to fund innovative, community-driven solutions. As part of our commitment to supporting Indigenous communities across Turtle Island, RIOF Inc., focuses on outcomes-based finance to address critical issues and foster long-term, systemic change. At Raven, we prioritize Indigenous leadership, knowledge, and values, working within the framework of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (#UNDRIP). Our decolonized, impact-centric approach empowers Indigenous communities to achieve self-determination, enhance well-being, and build a sustainable future. The Raven Funds Group shares a unified vision of creating meaningful change and supporting the success of Indigenous communities. This vision is also carried by Raven Indigenous Capital Partners, North America’s only Indigenous-led impact investment firm, which supports Indigenous entrepreneurs and strengthens the Indigenous economy. Additionally, the Raven Indigenous Impact Foundation focuses on improving the wellbeing of Indigenous Peoples through research and education on innovative financial solutions. The percentage of #StartFund projects implemented through consortia, where two or more agencies work together, has skyrocketed from just 3% in 2015 to 67% in 2023. This collaborative approach, which leverages the strengths of both local and international actors, is demonstrably improving the efficiency and speed of delivering aid. The best way to power people and their economy is to teach them how to power themselves and their economy. World Economic Forum and UpLink - World Economic Forum powering people and economic sustainability is the highest and best usage model.

This needs coverage! We know already that there is huge #disparity in access to natural spaces with those from poorer or ethnic #diverse groups having the least access to public footpaths, and #greenspaces . Knowing the incredibly powerful #health benefits of walking and being in #nature, we need to encourage funding such as this to be driven into those under funded areas to make sure those health benefits are accessible by ALL, and not just the fortunate few. If you live in, or know someone who lives in an area with little to no natural public spaces, I encourage you to put yourself forward for this funding, or highlight it with the powers that be in your local area. Access to nature should be an equal right.
