A WORLD WITHOUT ADVERTISEMENT? It's no secret that consumption is reaching terrifying levels. For now, it's business as usual. But what about in 10 years? Because of a depressing lack of #visions, we put together 12 sustainability scenarios and asked over 1000 Swedes to what extent they found the scenarios possible and desirable. We also asked them to express their thoughts on each one. This led to some very interesting results. Today, you can read more about the scenario deemed the least likely by Swedes: a world without ads. Stay tuned during the coming weeks for the other #scenarios. It's no secret that the fashion industry have become one of the largest contributors to the microfibre pollution problem. A recent McKinsey & Company report- 'The State of Fashion 2024: Finding pockets of growth as uncertainty reigns' highlights the need for companies to look inwards, and across their supply chain as a whole: 'Longer term, and most importantly, companies should invest in innovation across the value chain aimed at helping to reduce fashion’s impact on the planet. This will touch on all areas of the value chain, from new material innovations such as lab-grown fibres, more efficient and ethical product reuse and recycling, and a shift from encouraging make-take-waste consumption culture.' Canopy works with the apparel sector to remove Ancient & Endangered Forests from their supply chains. Part of that work, on tree-based textiles, involves supporting solutions and scaling the materials of the future that make fashion more circular and take the pressure off of forests. One of those solutions is Renewcell, and Canopy has been supporting them since the beginning. The need to change how we impact on issues such as climate change is clear. Designing the process, the product, and the structure of the teams matters most.
