A closed workshop organised a couple of months ago by HeBAN - Hellenic Business Angels Network (Association) in Thessaloniki and led by tech entrepreneur, angel investor, and author Peter Cowley (he/him) got our Founding Partner Giannis Mylopoulos thinking about how much angel investing—apart from being about capitalising money—has to do with people; their ability to “listen to feedback”, resilience and being open to changes. When it comes to coaching founders, there is this classic case we call “yes, but…”. Have you ever heard of it? Yes, I see your point, but I have decided that everything will stay the same. It is a classic situation when startups ask for help and then ignore it, as they cannot listen and analyse any advice.
