If you have some time on your hands and fly a reasonable amount consider completing this course in "Air Travel Emergencies" delivered by Crisis Medicine LLC. While primarily aimed at EMS providers there is a lot of good information in there for the lay traveller, such as why you really should pay attention to the safety briefing and read the safety card! https://lnkd.in/e9_ahh2x #travelriskmanagement

This is a classic example of a total lack of Leadership, empathy, kindness, and integrity by Air Canada. Can you imagine, being removed from a plane because you refused to sit in vomit stained seats, with remnants still visible on the seatbelt? Not only removed, but threatened by the pilot that if they didn’t get off they could be added to a no-fly list, for not wanting to sit in vomit from previous passengers, a classified biohazard in the airline industry. It reminds me of a similar experience with KLM with a total 180 degree in how it was handled. On one of my trips from Dammam, Saudi Arabia to Amsterdam, on a KLM KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight, we were in the process of boarding, and I had a window seat, in a row of 3 consecutive seats. As I was about to get into my seat I saw the first seat, near the aisle, had a round visible liquid stain on it. It didn’t smell so I assumed it wasn’t urine, maybe the previous passenger tipped over a bottle of water disembarking. As a passenger approached to take the seat, I made him aware of the situation immediately and he flagged down a flight attendant. She immediately apologized and took the passenger up to the front of the plane to a new seat in area, just outside business class, still an upgraded seat. She then returned and apologized to me and others in the are, remove the entire seat cushion, essentially taking away whatever it was. Now that’s Leadership, that’s empathy, that’s kindness, understanding and a display of pure integrity, and that is one of many reasons why I always fly KLM when I’m able, and why I’ve avoided Air Canada for years. Shame on Air Canada, additionally, shame on how they’re handled the situation to date, total lack of Leadership! https://lnkd.in/gRGpr6v4 #AirCanada #KLM #KLMleadership #flyKLM #AirCanadashame #KLMLeads #Royaldutchairlines #leadership #warriorleadership #lead #leader #leads #shame #integrity #empathy #understanding #biohazard #kindness #example
