"Voracious consumer of content" is a MAJOR competitive advantage. It's a phrase I've heard thrown around once or twice but then again during one of the Reuter's sessions. The diversity of your information diet feeds the ideas you can distill from it. (hats off to a recent Lenny's podcast episode) If your diet is limited to your echo chamber, your strategies and success will be reflective of things that may not work anymore. At best, they're just going to be natural assumptions of everyone else in it. No competitive advantage there. I loved Stefan Gladbach's list yesterday not just because I love being included but because it was a diverse set of people who deliver a wealth of information that isn't just parroted across accounts. Conferences, Podcasts, Social media, regular media, books & courses are all ways to get that competitive advantage. It takes an intentional effort and a voracious appetite. But when I look around the rooms I'm in, and I see that I have something to learn from some, and something to teach to others, it's a good sign. It's how you create strategies that get millions and billions of dollars in the door.

Here's a short podcast that features a moving discussion about how each of us have a role in maintaining democracy, and not in a "What's in it for me" kind of way. We all have grown numb and take too many of the benefits of living in a strong democracy for granted, including our leaders. But we need to get out acts together and avoid throwing it all away just because we are fearful of the future. Pulling up stakes now would be a grave mistake, not just for ourselves, but for future generations. Don't forget, our role is to keep planting seeds to sustain future generations. https://lnkd.in/gx2ywQ4D
