Belgium 2030, it will be a race with 7 cities (maybe) After Mons (2015), Bruges (2002), Brussels (2000) and Antwerp (1993), it is Belgium's turn again in 2030 to nominate a European Capital of Culture. Belgium will do this together with Cyprus and an EFTA/EEA country, candidate country or potential candidate country of the European Union. We hope that it will be Ukraina that nominates one of the three European Capitals of Culture for 2030 with the hope that the war will be over in the meantime. But which cities in Belgium have decided to participate in this competition? Brussels, Ghent, Kortrijk, Liège, Leuven, Bruges and Namur. Read all on EcocNews !!! https://lnkd.in/dkCdrGXD

🇨🇵 📣 The #ChooseFrance summit, a flagship of French #NationBranding strategy As reindustrialization has become a key issue for Western countries, attracting #investors has become the focus of fierce global competition between states, driven by the implementation of agressive economic attractiveness strategies to entice companies and factories. ➡ In France, the #NationBranding strategy, embodied in the international communication campaign #MakeItIconic, has received particular attention at the highest level of the state. The 7th edition of the Choose France summit, a true "show" bringing together the CEOs of the largest national companies around President Emmanuel Macron on May 13th, has become the cornerstone of this charm offensive. 📈 Beyond investment promises, the summit has become an #influential tool used by the French executive to project the image of a liberal and pro-business country, far from the clichés of a nation stifled by regulations and sprawling state control. As both a political #communication tool and a staging of French #attractiveness, the summit, centered around the figure of the head of state who acted as the chief salesperson for Brand France, seeked to craft the narrative of a major production nation. This was all set within the prestigious and highly symbolic Château de Versailles, an embodiment of classical excellence and a diplomatic asset for the country. Since its inception, the Choose France strategy has resulted in: 🌐 10,451 foreign investment projects in France from 2017 to 2023; 💼 307,940 jobs maintained or created for French citizens from 2017 to 2023 across the country. The theme of the 2024 edition of the forum, "Land of Champions," echoes the upcoming #OlympicGames, which will represent a crucial momentum for the country's image. With this global event, France is playing a major card in its attractiveness strategy, which will provide unprecedented exposure for the country and serve as a showcase for the national strengths and narrative that it aims to project beyond its borders. 🌎 📸 Ludovic Marin #Investments #Economics #Business #Attractiveness #ChooseFrance #Communication Victoria Etter Antoine HILLION Candice Ribes Lina Ben Hamida Chloé Moulins Jean-philippe Dorent Angéline Ariza Sophia Hammadache Adrien Gicquiau Philippine van Tichelen

The central provinces of China never fail to impress me. ✨ This time, I spent a few days in Changsha, Hunan to explore opportunities for German companies, foster cooperation, and attend the 13th Expo Central China. The expo was held under the influence of Xi Jinping's visit to Changsha in March, where he urged the central provinces to implement development measures and highlighted their economic impact and relevance for innovation. The expo's motto, "Opening Up and Innovation - the Rise of Central China," reemphasized that Central China is set for accelerated innovation and increased openness. The six central Chinese provinces—Shanxi, Henan, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi—are collaborating to achieve this mission, presenting rising opportunities as China's new powerhouse. In Changsha, an interesting opportunity for German companies is currently unfolding. The Germany headquartered company Zurbrüggen has partnered with the city to build a German-style shopping mall, office spaces, German-standard living spaces, and a service platform for international companies. SMEs interested in exploring their opportunities in Central China will find an excellent starting point here. If you would like more information, please contact me, and we will build the bridge for you. @GDCV - Gesellschaft für Deutsch-Chinesche Verständigung e.V.
