ADIO co-hosted the “Abu Dhabi Investment Promotion Workshop“ in Shanghai with Haitong Securities. 80 companies from various industries attended the event. H.E. Muhannad Sulaiman Al Naqbi, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Shanghai, delivered a keynote speech on UAE's economic growth and competitive value proposition, focussing on several sectors in Abu Dhabi. ADIO mobilised the collective strength of its Abu Dhabi ecosystem partners, including ADGM, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), KEZAD Group and ALDAR, to promote the Emirate's diverse advantages and unique offerings for Chinese companies and investors. We were thrilled to see a large turnout at our workshop, and to feel the excitement from Chinese tech and business leaders about expanding in Abu Dhabi. Siemens Energy's Managing Director, Dietmar Siersdorfer, recently spoke with Energy Connects Quarterly Review about collaboration being key to achieving a clean energy future. Siersdorfer highlighted Siemens Energy's crucial role in the region's energy transition. He emphasised partnerships with local stakeholders, particularly their collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) on the launch of the UAE Innovation Center. This centre fosters innovation and accelerates the development of sustainable energy solutions. Siemens Energy and ADIO are committed to supporting the Middle East's ambitious goals.
