"Is your body an ornament or an instrument?" As part of our programming for #PrideMonth, the Invesco Proud Network (IPN) teamed up with with EMEA Mental Wellbeing and the EMEA Tech Wellness group to honor Men's Health Week by hosting a global conversation with Chris Bell. Chris is an academic, speaker and trainer who specializes in physical and mental health, and he joined Invesco for a thoughtful discussion on body image and the role that media and social media play in men's mental health. During his presentation, Chris left our audience with mindset shifts we can all take to foster a healthier body image. One of his points focused on looking at the body as an instrument that allows you to do things that you enjoy. Thank you to Chris for his time, and to our employee-led Business Resources Groups for putting together an insightful program.

Excited to join Yann Follain and Olha Romaniuk this September for a game-changing workshop on Experiential Design for Mental Health as part of #SingaporeDesignWeek. But make no mistake—this isn't a lecture; it's a collaborative innovation lab. In my earlier article about "Escaping The Matrix", we talked about how SMART cities should be liveable places that improve our lives. This workshop embodies that—creating a space where innovation and mental health intersect. Guided by leaders in Design and Healthcare, we'll use a "World Café" format and Human Interaction Design to marry ground-up solutions with top-down policies. Your input is the secret sauce. We don't just want you in the room; we want your voice driving the conversation. Because when diverse perspectives come together, that's where the magic happens. Ready to innovate with us? I’m not sure about framing this as a men vs women issue. But, we absolutely need to normalize crying and other forms of self-expression at work. Just as we celebrate extreme joy or happiness when something great happens, we should also make space for expressing emotions during tough times. It’s important to acknowledge that everyone has bad days or faces stress. Creating an environment where it’s okay to show vulnerability can lead to a more supportive and understanding workplace. Ultimately, as Founders our goal should be to have more positive experiences than negative ones, fostering a balanced and empathetic work culture.

Today, we're answering a common question: Can therapy really help a relationship? Let's dive in! Relationships can be a beautiful source of love and support in our lives, but they also require work and effort. When conflicts arise, it can be challenging to navigate the situation alone. This is where therapy can be a valuable tool for building healthier and more connected relationships. 💚 Therapy provides a safe space for open communication, understanding, and growth. A therapist can help you identify the underlying issues that can impact your relationship, work through conflicts in a healthy and productive way, and develop the skills needed to build a solid foundation of love and trust. 💛 A therapist can also help you explore your individual needs, values, and beliefs, helping you better understand yourself and your partner. This newfound understanding can create a stronger connection and a deeper level of empathy towards each other. 💙 Remember, asking for help is a sign of strength, not a weakness. By seeking therapy, you're showing resilience, courage, and the willingness to take your relationship to the next level. At Edges Wellness, our therapists are here to support and empower you in your journey towards healthier and more resilient relationships. We celebrate diversity, inclusion, and the power of community support. Together, we can overcome any challenge and create beautiful connections that last a lifetime. 💜🌈 #EdgesWellness #TherapyWorks #EmpoweringConnections #CommunitySupport
