🌟 Reflecting on an incredible experience at the 13th edition of iForum2023 held at the International Exhibition Center, Kyiv! 🌍 🚀 As an enthusiast of technological advancements, it was an absolute privilege to participate in the foremost technology-driven forum in Ukraine. iForum has consistently been at the forefront of innovation, and this year was no exception. The insights gained, and connections made throughout the event were truly invaluable. 🏙️ The theme of this year's event, "City of the Future," struck a chord with me. Exploring the possibilities of how technology can shape and transform our urban landscapes was both thought-provoking and exciting. The discussions and panels dedicated to Ukrainian MilTech development showcased the remarkable strides our nation is making in this field. The panel discussion on IP addresses and domains has been a brilliant speakership. 🤖 The concept of building a cyber-resilient system prepared for every unpredictability has been highlighted. We can emphasise that, as Ukrainians, we have mastered tech in tough times, but we need to create secure business environments without the need for such extreme lessons. 💡 Engaging with visionary speakers and experts, I came away with a deeper understanding of the role technology plays in building smarter, more sustainable cities. 🤝 The networking opportunities were a highlight, connecting with like-minded individuals who share a passion for driving positive change through technology. Collaborations forged during events like iForum have the power to amplify our impact and drive innovation even further. 🙌 Kudos to the organisers for orchestrating an event of such magnitude, and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the enriching discussions and knowledge sharing. Today is the last day of European Industry Days 2023!🇪🇺 #EUIndustryDays #EUID23. This year the forum has taken place for the first time outside of Brussels, in Malaga🇪🇸. The 3-day EU flagship event has brought together more then 1100 participants from industry, policy and wider innovation ecosystem to discuss and co-create key developments for the EU industrial policy. Thank you EEL Events, for organising BNES2023 The discussions and presentations were quite engaging and provided a comprehensive overview of the latest trends in #energysector. While many interesting topics were covered, one particular issue stood out in most of the sessions. Maybe it was my biased thinking, but most of the sessions expressed a desire for certainty, visibility, and predictability regarding regulation (and revenues :) ). The most intriguing discussion during coffee breaks: If a company invented a machine that could provide the entire world's energy at zero marginal cost, it would go bankrupt under the current EU market design because no one would cover its capital expenditures. However, if a well-connected country provides a support mechanism to cover the capital expenditures for that company, the neighbouring regions would gain a competitive advantage because they wouldn't have to cover the same expenditures, but would benefit from zero prices. Is it the beginning of the end of #energyonly market or for #inframarginal assets? If an easy fix is available, please mention it in the comments. Last month, the tight schedule for most Chinese PV professionals involved rushing to the SNEC Expo in Shanghai first, followed by a flight to Munich for Intersolar. I once joked that we are “light chasers.” However, since mid-2023, the industry seems to be trapped in ever-deepening darkness. A strong sense of despair pervades the media, causing us to overlook the fact that... The Sun is still there, and the light is still there... Business is business. Nature is Nature. Salute to Mr. Charles Dickens and his words that so aptly describe the dual nature of reality: “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way— in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only."
