Natural gas is expected to fill an ongoing role in a secure global energy future, but producers are, at the same time, expected to strive for continuous improvement in their environmental performance and provide greater transparency surrounding the impact natural gas has on the environment. In recent years, this has translated into a growing movement to certify gas on its emission footprint. In some cases, producers are opting for more than one certification process.
