📢 Over 300 people attended today’s Capacity-building Alliance of Sustainable Investment (CASI) event, where Arthur Yuen, Dept Chief Exec of Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) gave a keynote address. The event was co-hosted by the Institute of Finance and Sustainability (IFS), HKMA Infrastructure Financing Facilitation Office (IFFO), and the The University of Hong Kong.🌏 📢 Arthur mentioned that HKMA has been looking to address the core issues of standards, data, and know-how, with special attention to capacity-building following the roll-out of the Hong Kong Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance. 🌏 📢 Arthur also discussed how HKMA have been working extensively to encourage ideas and solutions to create an enabling environment with robust support to identify and manage #climaterisks.🌏 📢Teresa Ko, Vice Chair, IFRS Foundation discussed why #ISSB standards should be used: building on existing frameworks, responsiveness to investor demands, harmonizing & consolidating to reduce duplication & disclosure costs, strategic information disclosure, & interoperability. 🌏 📢 Teresa discussed that two new areas: #biodiversity & #ecosystem, and human capital, have been getting a lot more attention. 🌏 #sustainableinvestment #sustainablefinance #capacitybuilding #greenfinance #biodiversityfinance #sustainabilitydisclosure
