Rewind Carpet has always said exhibitions are worth celebrating. We’ve been rolling out our 100% recyclable needle felt event carpets for a while now. Why? Because we genuinely believe that events are the space to get people (re)thinking about the future. How do we do better for people and the planet? How do we do that together? 🌱 🤝 So, when we heard Global Exhibitions Day 2024 was headlining with ‘Exhibitions are catalysts to sustainable futures’, you know we were all in. Break out the sparklers! 🎇 Pop that bubbly (0-12% Whatever makes your party fly!)! This is what we’ve been saying all along. Change starts with people. And there’s nothing like an exhibition to get people inspired and talking about how to shape the future – sustainably. Because sustainable? That’s the only future-forward option. ⏩ 🌍 Rethink and Rewind with us for #GED2024. Your next exhibition? It could just be the catalyst for a sustainable future! https://lnkd.in/ef2tzmN2

Nurturing living systems evolution by resourcing people and organisations development and weaving communities
Here are my key takeaways from this morning panel on the future of work and regional development: 1 - we need to shift from downloading policies and practices on territories as if repositories of our ideas and start to see places as living systems nested in bioregions, each with their unique essence and contributions to the region 2 - we need to shift from focus on problems and start to look at and nurture potential of people and places, as they increasingly become more able to contribute purposefully to the living systems their are participating in 3 - this requires us to think differently and continuosly develop our capacity and capabilities to be intelligent participants in the evolution of life in the planet; 4 - education most evolve to nurture human development from the unique essence of each human being and the unique contexts they inhabit. On the occasion of April 21, the International Day of Creativity and Innovation: This year, we are celebrating the International Day of Creativity and Innovation, as humanity needs innovation and creativity more than ever. We need to make our home, the earth, a better place to live. We need to develop better ways to live together as human beings before being anything else! Before and more than thinking about better and more use of the resources and reserves on the planet, we need a better way to use them together so that we don't fight each other for the sake of using more. We need to know each other better and live better together. Accept diversity in human society and love everyone as they are. Each of us needs this year to be better people than the previous year and to promote love, kindness and hope among human society instead of hatred and enmity. We need to find an innovative way so that no one on our rich planet spends the night hungry! We have to be creative so that no one is attacked by powerful people because of their thoughts! We have to think creatively about the loneliness of the sparrows behind the window and the withering of the flowers in the vases of our father's house! The future of humanity awaits our creativity. Maybe tomorrow will be too late... #World_Creativity_and_Innovation_Day

💡 Systematic innovation processes as opening new spaces for hope? Watch this moving documentary about the NY world fair in 1939... At that time, it was absolutely necessary to 'make' the future happen again... What about today? #TheRiseofDigitalManagement
🔎 "It was like looking into the future". People were excited by "the unveiling of unthinkable new technologies that promised that a better world lay ahead". A very interesting documentary about the 1939 world fair in New York. At that time, the future was just out of order. There was a deep need to 'make' the future with technology, powerful innovation waves, a renewed enthusiasm for what's next, apocalyptic processes in the etymological sense of the term: https://lnkd.in/eaWm8Dtn See also this other video, another very interesting archive: https://lnkd.in/eMXnrJVN #TheRiseofDigitalManagement #Apocalypsemanagériale #Future #Futurity #Thirties #Fourties Routledge Business & Economics Raveesh Mayya François-Xavier de Vaujany Marc Kohlbry Shama Patel Jean Daniélou Léana D. Let’s talk about the future for future generations! Last week Frederique Hamelink and Chief Inspiration Sanne van Kessel visited the Future Generations Conference in Leuven. And because the future belongs to all of us, we’re happy to share the most captivating insights that have sparked our vision for the future (and hopefully yours too): 💡Time Traveling Perspectives: Standing in a timeline with diverse voices spanning generations, exchanging advice on pressing questions like the possibility of interplanetary travel at our 100th birthday or revisiting ancient systems of knowledge exchange through local barter economies. 💡 Shifting Greed for Growth: Let's pivot from short-sighted greed to long-term vision, exploring innovative models of growth and success that prioritize not only individual prosperity but also the well-being of our planet. Can we redefine success metrics to embrace sustainable prosperity? 💡Navigating Digital Realms: Uncover the nuanced challenges of each generation's digital landscape. From the mental toll of perpetual connectivity on digital natives to the transformative impact of social media on interpersonal relationships, we're reevaluating our digital habits in pursuit of healthier online interactions. 💡Historical Perspectives on Norms: Here's a quirky historical nugget: did you know that a 1000 years ago communal toilet gatherings were once a form of social entertainment? Reflect on how societal norms continuously evolve, prompting us to question what's 'normal' and adapt our behaviors accordingly. From captivating speakers who stretched the limits of our imagination to exploring alternate futures and gleaning wisdom from generations past and future, the Future Generations Conference in Leuven was a journey of enlightenment and empowerment! #futurgenerations #forwardthinking #conference #futurethinking #scenarios #theforwardclub #trendwatchers #inspiration #expedition

The future of strategy...
Strategist | (TEDx) Speaker | Facilitator | Researcher. Exploring positive change at the intersection of culture, tech & economics.
My first TEDx talk is a wrap! And I couldn't be more happy and grateful. Dear GenZ, dear most diverse and digitally connected generation in history: our perspectives matter! In my talk, I decoded the stigmas my generation, GenZ, faces - what does it truly mean to be born a digital native? I explored how growing up immersed in global connectivity through tech shapes our worldview and potential. Or how one of the many great messages I got put it (this one by a fellow GenZer): „I recognise my generation as having different expectations of the workplace but truthfully, I hadn’t recognised the interconnectedness between the advancement of technology and Gen Z’s expectations. Our access to voices that have been historically unheard or ignored has encouraged a collective empathy that’s shaking up structures and spaces that have often been created without everyone in mind. I’ll take forward Jasemen’s closing line to Gen Z of “we have so much to offer, let’s offer it courageously”. Thank you to everybody who contacted me, to everyone that has listened with an open mind. I ended my talk with the call for intergenerational partnership: asking older generations to reconsider stereotypes and make space for youth voices in spaces where decisions are being made. Asking Gen Z to bring their global perspectives into every space they occupy. Together, we can realize the promise of technology to unite humanity. Here's to decoding systems together. GenZ is here to stay, I invite you to (truly) get to know us and all that is shaping our perspectives. After a week of landing and processing the whole experience, I am even more motivated to continue to amplify perspectives that need to be heard. A big thank you to TEDxAmsterdamWomen, especially to Helen Pink and Helene Geijtenbeek for believing in me and my story during our first conversation. My gratitude also goes out to my speakers coach Natascha Jacobsz, you are one of a kind. Thank you to Karen Oldhoven and Angelique Houtveen for cheering me on. And last but definitely not least, it was an honour to share the stage with my fellow speakers from all walks of life: 🎤 Raisa Ghazi, Ingrid Valks, Lies Oudemans, Mickelle Weber, Shenin Lebrun, Nicola Fox (Ph.D.) and Houda Noussi.
