During Session 2 of International Dairy Federation‘s First Regional Dairy Conference themed "Global and Regional Perspectives on Dairying & Innovation", speakers from around the globe shed light on the transformative strategies in dairy farming. Leading in genetic advancements and farm-level reporting systems to ensure productivity while reducing environmental impact in Oceania Harnessing local plants for enhanced animal health and productivity, emphasising sustainable agricultural practices and feed management in Indonesia Nepal promoting rural prosperity through innovative farm management and vaccine production, aiming for sustainable growth and increased resilience. Bhutan’s focus on progeny-tested semen and biodigesters for sustainable practices, integrating the National Dairy Information System for real-time data management. Indian cooperatives empowering small farmers, ensuring fair prices and market stability. Innovations like GauSort: a low-cost bovine semen sex sorting technology indigenously developed by NDDB for production of sex-sorted semen and biometric identification advance breeding, while digital solutions like e-Gopala streamline operations.
