On September 30 and October 1, the IACP provided training on checkpoint operations emphasizing speed enforcement in Bogotá, Colombia for officers of the Colombian National Police and agents of District Secretariat of Mobility of Bogotá. The training, supported by the Bloomberg Philanthropies BIGRS initiative, offered effective practices in roadside operations, ways to improve interagency collaboration, and practical checkpoint exercises in a controlled environment. #RoadSafety

The IACP donated breathalyzers to support the Agencia de Tránsito y Movilidad (ATM) drunk driving enforcement operations in Guayaquil, Ecuador, through the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety. Following delivery, traffic enforcement agents were trained in the use of the equipment.

Empower high school students and schools to identify and prevent human trafficking! The IACP is excited to announce the release of the TraffickSTOP (Signs to Observe and Prevent) program―a human trafficking identification and prevention training for high school students. Developed in collaboration with the NW3C, Inc. and the Office for Victims of Crime, TraffickSTOP uses a facilitator-guided approach, with school resource officers (SROs) or other police personnel delivering the curriculum in schools. The TraffickSTOP online toolkit includes meeting plans, posters, and additional resources to implement the program in any high school.
