🍾 🌍 📈 Our 2023 annual report & our forecasts in 2024: In brief, this year 2023 has been fully amazing: ◽ Our global sales have grown by 20%. ◽ We established several sales offices throughout Europe, a second subsidiary in China & built a new plant in Dongguan. Now we have 10 subsidiaries, branches, sales offices & manufacturing facility worldwide. A big thanks to our global team for their huge work done this year. Nothing would be possible without them 👍 🙏 👏 . And then in 2024? We will speed our global expansion up: ◾ We are proud to announce you the establishment of 3 new subsidiaries worldwide: - EC International Germany - EC International Singapore - EC International HK ◾ About our current manufacturing facility, EC Prototype Asia Ltd., its extra building (still under construction) will be operational in late January. That will allow us to double our production capabilities. ◾ In China, our 2 subsidiaries will establish several sales offices in: - Shanghai - Beijing - Wuhan - Xiamen - Hangzhou ◾ We plan to purchase a large factory (one of our suppliers) specialized in the manufacturing of plastic parts at the end of the year 2024. The next year will be very important for us & will allow us to scale up globally. "Is Mexico the new China?" Just arrived in Mexico City from Los Angeles, CA, and the scene at the airport was exactly as expected. My Director, who flew in from India, shared the same observation. Chinese presence was prominent everywhere - from departure gates to immigration lines and baggage claim. This aligns with our insights over the past 5 years, signaling a significant shift in the industry. Near Shoring is on the rise, with even major Indian and Sri Lankan companies adapting their manufacturing strategies to enhance delivery, pricing, and volume options to cater to diverse customer needs. After almost 4 years I have the opportunity to return to China... the world has changed in the meantime, but one thing has remained constant: the REHAU China team continues to be a solid rock in the sea of change! Besides interacting with our venture partners and customers on the ground I will be able to catch up with Matthias Haasler and his team who continue to be a driver of growth and profit not just in Greater China, but within the APAC region. The team has delivered a case-study-worthy performance in terms of resilience and constantly increased performance in the face of pandemic challenges and strong economic headwinds. Increasing productivity while at the same time exploring new business models together with REHAU New Ventures shows the willingness to look ahead despite near-term hurdles. You guys are awesome and make me proud! What can we learn for our business in mature markets? The team has continued to uphold a winning culture that plays complementing strengths and relies on mutual trust to distribute responsibility and get things done quickly and effectively. Diversity of thought combined with a "together we can" mindset is a winning combination! Group-think and putting individual interests ahead of team objectives is a "no-go" and leads to strategic blindness and an atmosphere of distrust. There’s nothing more #frustrating than attempting to explain the manufacturing process to clients who hasn’t seen it. There is many things which most of the clients don’t understand, They will likely ask you questions that would never come up had they only seen how production actually works. Clients might wonder why the fabrication of a specific part is taking so long when in reality it might take days (or longer) to adjust the production equipment in order to address the client’s orders. Trying to explain this over the phone or through email isn’t a desirable method. However, by visiting factory and show you in vedio will be able to avoid many of these issues. In short, the purpose of a factory visit is to: 1. Observe how products are made and the processes involved in their production; 2. To educate potential and current clients, suppliers, partners, investors and other stakeholders; 3. Give executives a 360º vision of their manufacturing process.
