When it comes to designing “Brand Experiences” a KPI called “Cost per contact” has the potential to de-rail the whole objective of experiential marketing. In my opinion, we must single mindedly focus on ‘how desirable the experience will be for the target audience’ over ‘absolute number of people experiencing it’. After all its NOT about ‘how many took part’ but ‘how many would have wanted to be a part’ of the experience. The ‘cost per contact’ bit can then be a function of how efficiently we promote the content around the experience. Glad that we have been able to crack an effective 1:9:90 model for our “Black & White ginger ale’s Table for Everyone” at our very own City of Joy with Naganand K Tanya C. Sweta Mitra Divya Kalsi Jayesh Lakhani Mirza Baig The core Brand Idea is about “Sharing” and was brought alive by making diverse people share food, drinks and ideas across a long table; but to make the experience memorable we added a lot of bells & whistles to it. For example, the long table was laid on a cruise on the river Hoogly; we even added a celebrated chef to curate the menu and an expert bartender to fix the drinks menu paired with the food getting served; topped it up with some good live music on a stage that had the iconic Howrah Bridge as the stage backdrop…… & thus was born an experience that the whole city wanted to be a part of. A potent media plan and a battery of influencers created enough FOMO amongst our TG that we had to stop taking reservations a few days prior to the sailing date. #proudofwhatwedo #iworkforthebrand
