‘Reference Group’, ‘Advisory Group’, ‘Steering Committee’. These are all used to describe a selected group of people, who work alongside organisations that might lack representation from within. These bodies provide advice and accountability, contributing to initiatives through their knowledge, experience and insight. Including these voices reduces risk, saves money and leads to better, more effective outcomes. We’ve experienced first-hand the impact advisory groups have on the success of a creative project. The organisations we collaborate with who either have an established body, or work with a consultant, help us all to do better work. For this reason (and many others) we’ll be voting 'Yes'. #yes23
