If you're still on the fence about this event, here are a few reasons why it might benefit your recruitment goals: - High Traffic/Exposure, Low Cost: Employers at our September 2023 Career Fair were able to connect with 650 students and alumni for $0. Although we will need to introduce a $100/table fee to this event to ensure our services are sustainable, that is why we are opening it up to even more attendees. - Connect with Various Different Programs & Student Groups in One Place: This is an opportunity to promote various roles and careers across your organization, from business and administration to trades and healthcare. Promotion & Networking: This is not just an opportunity to connect with students and job seekers, but faculty and staff who might become long-term supporters of your organization as well. I talk to dozens of students every week and am always directing them to organization's whose values might align with their own - based on information that I have learned about those organizations through career fairs and connecting with their hiring teams.

𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐃𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟. At some point in business, I had built a system of work where every single task revolved around me. I knew how work should be done and I was involved in carrying out most of the tasks, directly or indirectly. Then there came a time when I needed to take time off work for medical reasons, this was when I realized what I had done both to myself and to my business. These were the opening words of Ema Clark-Esi, (paraphrased of course) last Saturday during the Lagos Career Fair by Covenant Capital. She shared the importance of building a system of work based on problem-solving. Other members of the panel echoed the same truth. They all agreed that the nature of work has changed tremendously, post Covid, but quite a few things have remained the same. One of them is being a problem solver in the workplace. And I quite agree, this is because over the past few years of working in the creative space, being a problem solver has been one major skill that has helped me both get noticed and get what is due to me. Other important key points she mentioned include: ✅ As a business owner, set up people to know how to do the work, don't get personally involved in every task. ✅ Create a system where your members of staff can share their ideas, opinions, and skills freely. ✅ Have no favorites, let rules be rules, and let every single person get the benefits of obeying the rules or the consequences of breaking them, no matter who they are in the organization. In summary, empower your team and create a system that doesn’t rely solely on you. What are your thoughts on this? #LagosCareerFair #covenantnantion #covenantcapital #PastorPoju #thursdaymotivation #thursday

🧩 Creating value for stakeholders is a key agenda of our CSR program and an integral part of our ESG policy. These activities align with the specific needs and expectations of each stakeholder group and are conducted in collaboration with the Company’s customers operating in industrial estates, government entities, local authorities, and communities. This approach is structured around a five-dimensional community development framework that also supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). 📝 One of these activities was the recent job fair organized alongside the Ministry of Labour and Rayong Provincial Employment, held at Sumipol Institute for Manufacturing Technology Excellence (SIMTEC) at Amata City Rayong. 📌 At the event, more than 320 job openings were showcased, totaling over 3,600 positions from 52 companies. The event also included 30 vocational training sessions, discussions on the path to career success, and booths from various agencies and community producers from around the industrial estates. 🧩 Amata focuses on creating opportunities and jobs for the people and employers in Chonburi and Rayong provinces; in 2023, stakeholder activities saw over 42,000 participants, directly and indirectly benefiting over 180,000 people from our stakeholder groups. #jobfair #opportunities #stakeholders #amata

Speaker, Facilitator, & Consultant, & Speaker on Graduate Education or DEI | Author "20 Questions to Answer Before You Apply to Graduate School"
If you are hosting a graduate school fair, let Apply to Graduate School host a 30-minute virtual workshop, “Talent Magnet: Navigating a Graduate School Fair.” to prepare your students for the event. I have a question for you. Who prepares students for the fair while maximizing the ROI for graduate recruiters paying fees to attract talent? Often, recruiters blame the host institution for poor attendance, lack of student preparedness, and feelings that the fair does not have a high ROI. At the workshop, students will receive helpful resources for navigating the event. This workshop benefits students and recruiters and sets your event apart from every other institution because students will be better prepared for the fair. Chartered PR Practitioner |AMEC Certificate in Measurement and Evaluation Candidate| PhD in Psychology
While working with the UNDP in Malawi, Africa, I was tasked with leading the organization of a career fair by the joint United Nations UN Cares team. The main objective of the fair was to bring together young people and professionals from various fields, hoping that the professionals would serve as role models, provide information about their respective fields, and possibly agree to mentor some of the young people. To make the event possible, I contacted the professionals in my network. I got professionals from diverse fields, such as the military, creative industry, architecture, IT, aviation, agribusiness, social work, education, medicine, law, accounting, events management, media and communication, to share their experiences with the young people. These professionals are doing remarkable work in their fields, and it was an excellent opportunity for the participants to learn from them. Each professional was given a booth where they could showcase and make a presentation about their field. The professionals began by giving a pitch about their field and work to attract people to visit their booth, and later on, the participants were directed to other booths. The idea was to ensure that the young people learned about their field of interest and had an opportunity to learn about other fields. The majority of individuals who shared about their careers were young professionals, which made it even more exciting. The success of this event convinced me that we need to have more activities like this for young people in Malawi. Rather than having it as an isolated once-off event, it would be great if educational institutions incorporated career days into their programs. It would also be beneficial if organizations made provisions for their employees to be released to participate in these career days. This will help provide the necessary support for our young people's transition.
