As part of our #JulyRecruitmentSolutions we will be revisiting our Hiring Advice blogs and articles. Job Hoppers - 5 ways to make it a success for your business. Employing serial job hoppers can be seen as disruptive for organisations, dismissing candidates from the recruitment process because they have a CV showing a history of moving jobs can mean an organisation is missing out on a potential new hire who brings with them a vast amount of diverse skills and industry knowledge, with the ability to adapt quickly and understanding of a variety of businesses. https://lnkd.in/d8_5fYyx

My legs have finally recovered after making it to the top of Snowdon on Sunday. It wasn’t our first attempt though as we tried on Saturday but the weather had other ideas. We kept climbing and everyone kept saying they turned around and were coming back down but we didn’t want to be defeated but eventually had to admit defeat and turn back. It was torrential rain and we were camping but we were determined to do it so after checking the weather decided that we were good to go again on Sunday and sure enough we did it! Absolutely no view due to the weather but we did it! So, if you have decided to move jobs or have been made redundant and are looking but just don’t seem to be getting anywhere, don’t be defeated. As a recruiter we spend a lot of time getting to know our clients, getting to know their business and understanding who would be a good fit. We go through so many CVs and look at experience and time in roles and then take the time to get to know our candidates to make sure we make the right match. I love getting to know people and find out what makes them tick but it is very important to make sure your CV’s are a good representation of your experience as this is the first thing we see, so what would we like to see…. 🖊️ Keep it brief, no more than 2 pages 🖊️ Keep personal details brief, - name - address - contact number/ email - LinkedIn profile (optional) 🖊️List achievements and main responsibilities in bullet points. 🖊️List previous roles in chronological order, if any gaps in employment, give a brief explanation. Add in description of responsibilities. 🖊️List Education and qualifications in chronological order. 🖊️Add that references can be provided on request. Hope that helps but, if you need any help or direction when updating your CV give me a call on 07711 405861 or email on [email protected] and I would be more than happy to help. Don’t give up, keep going and let us help you on your HR career journey! Adaptable Recruitment

As a recruitment company ourselves, we are under no illusion that the word recruitment itself can fill a company with dread. Often with hard sales tactics and poor delivery just to get figures over the line, it’s understandable that sometimes we can all be tarred with the same brush. Our focus is somewhat different. What’s important to us? 1- Knowing our client and understanding what they do is imperative. No recruiter can recruit without doing so we appreciate, but we really deep dive. Where possible, we visit the client in the workplace to get a feel for who they are, what the team dynamic is and to understand the environment they are in. We do what we do to gain a 360 view of the company and all that they encompass. Of course, building a relationship with our clients is incredibly important in the process (some we’ve known for many years and know what makes them tick) 2- Understanding the role that requires filling. We’re well versed in most areas, as many of our team have actually worked in the industries for which they recruit. Knowledge is key to successfully filling a role successfully. 3- Knowing and understanding our candidate; what their strengths are, their personality and of course, their experience. Equally, knowing where they wish to head in their career is incredibly important too. Why place someone with aspirations in a role with no progression? 4- Getting the right fit for both parties. The above is essential for longevity and happiness in the workplace. 5- Maintaining regular communication. Regular communication between both parties ensures no stone is left unturned and we’ll keep in touch before, during and after a successful placement. Why is this all important? Well it goes without saying that by doing all of the above and more, we maintain a positive reputation, our clients continue to support us and refer more business our way. As a company we are honest, authentic and realistic in our approach. We understand that we won’t be able to fill every role that comes our way. We’re sure that other companies would say the same, that recruitment is tough at times, people’s needs have changed and the market is incredibly competitive. We’re not naive to believe otherwise. Now in our 2nd year of trading, we’ve built a great reputation as the go-to agency for many and continue to grow and develop who we are. We specialise in White Collar Construction Roles. We’re on hand should you need recruitment support, and would be more than happy to have an impartial chat about how we may be able to assist you and your company or career search.

Energy and Engineering Recruitment Consultant Finding and securing candidates hinges on knowing precisely HOW to do it.
Why do candidates say no to your business? Part 1 A client asked for my assistance to headhunt candidates for a vacancy. The role had been vacant for 2 months, so I asked what happened. The client told me that recruitment agencies sent him so many brilliant CVs in such a short time. He interviewed many candidates three weeks into the process (two interviews assignment) and made an offer to the ideal candidate, but the candidate declined the offer. Then, he restarted the entire process and made an offer to the second ideal candidate, but the candidate declined the offer. The client was frustrated. 😵 What went wrong? 📝 Candidate management is extremely important in the recruitment process. It’s important to take the time to get to know the candidate – ask all the questions – leave no stone unturned. Their goals are now your goals! 🚫 If you are hiring a seasoned, experienced individual within a specialized field, the traditional army recruitment method no longer applies to your recruitment process. 😷 After Covid, those who survived the negative side effects on businesses, the top performers who weathered salary cuts and the retrenchment process but remained in the business, are now more cautious about making a career change. 🤠 They want to ensure that their next move is worth it, be it in terms of salary, benefits, or business stability. Don't get me wrong, I speak to passive candidates daily (they are not actively looking to leave their current companies at all, many of them don't even post their CVs online.) 🤟 Take extra care to understand what candidates want. What matters most to them? How do you build relationships with them and give them confidence to work with you? It’s time to get invested or you don’t stand a chance.
