The real heist is happening in plain sight. We’re talking about the $740 billion slated for digital advertising in 2024. If you’re not grabbing attention, that cash is slipping through your fingers. The Hard Truth: 1. Viewability is a Joke: Picture paying full price for half a Big Mac. 🍔 Or buying a car that’s missing the engine. 🚗 That’s what you’re doing with 50% viewability in your ads. It’s absurd. 2. Visibility ≠ Attention: Just because your ad is visible doesn’t mean it’s seen. Think about the Starbucks cup in Game of Thrones. ☕👀 It was there, but no one noticed. Policy Research Organisation (PRO), is a Pune-based think tank primarily focusing on research and analysis of local urban policies and governance. In 2022, for the first time, PRO published an index report after studying the status of the e-governance systems of twenty-seven municipal corporations in Maharashtra. In a few days, the third edition of this report City E-Governance Index 2024 will be released! The report studies the performance of the local bodies in Maharashtra based on 103 indicators evaluating them on three major parameters - Accessibility, Service Delivery and Transparency throughout these processes. Our report is in line with the Goal 16 and specifically Target 16.6 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals ( #sdgs2030 ), which aims to develop effective, accountable, and transparent institutions at all levels of government, primarily facilitated by e-governance initiatives.
