Another week highlighting the improving market... *We have a grad 8 interview requests. That's too many so we need to be selective, but that level of demand is a first for over a year. *We have a client looking for 10 graduates (exclusively through RULE). That level of hiring is a first in close to 18 months. *We have had 2 clients push our fees up to find graduates / trainees given the difficulty of finding people at this level. *We have had 5 existing clients asking to see grads / trainees for post Easter starters. *We have two impending promotions with each Consultant needing one more deal (the last year across the industry has been short of promotions). It is still hard. Only those that work hard will see results, but... It is without doubt showing signs of improvement. Much like signs of spring with the lighter evenings, and flowers blooming, the signs of growth in the economy are also starting to show signs of bloom. Have a great Friday all.

Being a young adult in this day and age is a lot of pressure, especially right after graduation when you think you get a break. Here are some questions to consider before accepting a big job offer!

Well, I never thought I would post anything on here but anyway... I cannot believe this will be the first thing I say on here 😅 but can organizations be more lenient when it comes to experience and skills? I, obviously, understand the value and importance of having experienced people but asking for 5 years every single time is ridiculous unless it's a senior post. Anyway, I appreciate companies that have assessments and assignments as part of the application process because they allow candidates to showcase their skills and capabilities even if they do not have many years of experience. We need organization to offer opportunities to people so they can gain that valuable experience. Besides, talent is usually overlooked due to lack of "role experience." Imagine missing out on candidates who could possibly be the talent your organization needs only because they are fresh out of college/university or they have only learned skills but haven't done an actually job. Frankly, you do not have to imagine because that is what's happening. We need more organizations to come up and take a chance on our youth. They have more room to learn, they have more room to improve - take a chance and give a chance, you could change not only the future of a young person, but the future of employment in our country. Hey, this is actually really nice. I might start posting on here more! 😄
