Co-founder of Tech Support AZ | Building software to bridge the knowledge gap between seniors and tech
STOP 🛑 They don't need more features... It's a common misconception that seniors either struggle or are against technology, I’m here to prove that wrong. In our experience, seniors exhibit remarkable adaptability. They did live through and survive one of the toughest era in history. When it comes to tech, most of the time it isn’t about the inability to learn but rather it’s the conflict in value that hinders adoption. Seniors are value driven individuals. They're selective, embracing what enhances their lives and resisting what doesn't resonate. Simplicity, privacy, and human interaction are what drives their decision. 🙅♂️ "if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it" is more than a phrase; it's a guiding principle rooted in an era where simplicity reigned. Today, tech does everything, often complicating rather than simplifying. This leads to seniors opting to resign all together because of the hassle of learning everything just for one feature isn’t worth it. 😷 Privacy is paramount. Seniors guard their information vigilantly, wary of spam calls and scams, a concern younger generations might overlook. 👫 Human connection means the world to them. They're keenly aware of the gradual shift where smartphones and social media steal attention from personal interactions. Time is a precious commodity, and they treasure moments with loved ones above all. Introducing tech is a delicate balance of aligning its value with their lives. It's not about a barrage of features; it's about meaningful upgrades. Whether it's facilitating better communication with grandkids or reviving cherished poker nights with lifelong friends, the goal is simple: enhancing their lives in tangible, relatable ways. Let's reshape the narrative. Seniors aren't resistant to tech; they're discerning, valuing real impact. Understanding their values is key to bridging the tech gap. #TechForAllGenerations #ValueInTechLearning #seniorcare #seniorliving Jordan Fourcher Huy Huynh Jonah West Zach Davison
It's not that seniors don't like or know how to use tech. We just don't make it easy on them to learn. #seniorcare #techandseniors #techsupport #techeducation #seniorliving Jordan Fourcher Jonah West Huy Huynh Zach Davison
