I am pleased to announce that I am starting a new positing at... I am pleased to announce that I am remaining with my current employer at... Choosing to leave or choosing to stay is a decision we make (the latter, sometimes unknowingly but a decision nonetheless). These decisions need to be thought through. Sometimes we leave or stay not because we want to. Sometimes we make a decision to leave and realize it was a wrong decision. As the new year starts, it is important to think about our priorities, what our values are and what is important to us (and pen it down - we oft forget when we decide to record it in our minds. We also need to be flexible enough to amend as we go along). For us to do that, we need to reflect on those priorities, those values, hopes and what is important to us... They are the backbone of good decisions. Not what people think, what other people are doing or opportunities that come along (or don't). We need to be driven by hope and not fear. We need to be driven by our own truth. There are many decisions to make as we start off 2024.. Decisions to go back to school, to try out new projects, to pivot to a new career, to leave work, to stay, to start that side hustle, to practice that skill, to seek help, to rest more, to take care of yourself, to be you... As you make that decision, think about 3, 5, 10 years from now. Will you be glad you made that decision? Will it be a risk that was worth taking? When you are about to cross over to the next life, will that decision be worth your while?
