Should we be proud of chandrayan 3 !? Well technically yes India landed a big mission and now has an early bird advantage over the southern pole of moon What makes me sad is they managed it for only 75 million $ ! Well most of you will think that's really great but if we look at the other side of the coin Following are the budgets of space organisations world wide USA- 25 billion $ per year CHINA- 9 billion $ per year RUSSIA- 17 billion $ per year INDIA- 1.5 billion $ per year If we get big budgets like other nations we can only imagine what our country can achieve Most of the Hollywood films have more budget than our ISRO The opportunity cost our nation is suffering because of low budgets allocated to the important sectors is what we should be not proud of #isro #isroindia #nasa #chandrayaan3 #chandrayaan3success #india #budget

🌟 "ISRO Achieves Milestone with Successful Gaganyaan Test Flight"🚀 📰 Today at 10 am, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) marked a historic moment as it successfully launched the first test flight of the Gaganyaan mission. The crew module, sent skyward through this maiden flight test, showcased its prowess as it gracefully separated and descended with a parachute, ultimately landing in the Bay of Bengal. A dedicated team of Indian Navy personnel and divers have been deployed to recover this significant payload. ISRO Chief S Somnath expressed his elation, saying, "I am happy to announce that the first test flight of Gaganyaan mission, TV-D1 Mission, has been successful." This mission's primary objective was to scrutinize the crew escape system, a vital aspect of future space exploration. 🚀 It's worth noting that the Gaganyaan mission was originally announced by PM Narendra Modi on August 15, 2018, with an ambitious target for completion by 2022. However, the global challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a deadline extension. ISRO has now extended the mission's timeline to 2025, prioritizing the safety and success of our astronauts. Join us in celebrating this remarkable step in India's space journey and stay tuned for more updates on the Gaganyaan mission! Bharat Mata ki Jai.. Jai Hind.. The US and UAE are joining forces to send humans back to the Moon! This "#Artemis" mission is all about working together to figure out the secrets of space. 👉 The UAE is building a special airlock door for a space station that will orbit the Moon. Think of it as a giant space door astronauts can use to get in and out safely. 👉An Emirati astronaut will even get to join the mission! They'll be one of the first people to set foot on the Moon in years. But by working together, the US and UAE hope to overcome these challenges and learn more about how humans can survive in space for longer periods. This will pave the way for future missions to Mars and beyond! #SpaceExploration #Artemis

India just became one of four countries to land a spacecraft on the moon! Chandrayaan 3 reached the near the moons south pole on the 23 August, which is the closest any space craft has ever reached. The south pole has a great scientific significance because frozen water could exist within the craters that are never touched by sunlight. This water could potentially help for future crew missions to the moon by providing the basic resources in order to create usable water or fuel. Cable News Network. (2023, August 24). Some interesting fact: The Oceanic pole of inaccessibility (49.0273°S 123.4345°W) is the most remote place on the Earth. The area is also known as Point Nemo and is a vast stretch of the South Pacific Ocean between the Easter Islands and Antarctica. If you find yourself there, the nearest humans will be astronauts aboard the International Space Station when it passes overhead. Today Point Nemo is mainly used as a space cemetery.

The success of the ISRO's (Indian Space Research Organisation's) first uncrewed developmental flight, christened TV-D1, of its 'Gaganyan' human space flight mission is significant on several counts. The single-stage rocket carried a crew module fitted with a crew escape system (CES) to an altitude of 12 km. In response to a command from the ISRO, the CES separated from the crew module, leaving the module to reorient itself before dropping over the Bay of Bengal, while the CES also splashed down farther down range. No doubt, this is the first major step towards fulfilling the country's dream to safely launch humans into orbit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious exhortation to the ISRO to launch humans to the moon by 2040 cannot be faulted. Given the fastidiousness with which the ISRO scientists work on each of their missions, the day will not be far away when the ISRO will make our country and its citizens more proud by successfully launching humans to the moon.

Make Space for India 🇮🇳 Proud moment for the entire nation as Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi revealed the names of 04 astronauts for ISRO - Indian Space Research Organization Gaganyaan Mission. The four Indian Air Force Officers, Group Captain P Balakrishnan Nair, Group Captain Ajit Krishnan, Group Captain Angad Pratap and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla, will be the first Indians to go to space from Indian soil on an indigenous space vehicle. The Gaganyaan mission is India's first manned space mission, aiming for a launch between 2024-2025. The project envisages launching a crew of three humans into an orbit of 400 km for a three-day mission and bringing them back safely to Earth by landing in Indian sea waters. - India would become the 4th country after USA, Russia and China to launch its own crewed spacecraft. - The mission aims to enhance to develop technology for scientific human space exploration - Engage the indigenous industry and academia and encourage knowledge, innovation and creativity - Strengthen India’s position in the world as a country with credible and dependable space technology #Gaganyaan #ISRO #MannedMission #India #IndianAirForce #space

What I learned from Apollo 13 is to adjust objectives as circumstances require. After the explosion the objective of the mission became to bring the astronauts back alive, rather tham to land on the moon. Failng to adjust the objectives lead to disaster many years later on several Space Shuttle missions. Disaster that could have been avoided if the leadership would have had the guts to adjust the onjectives of their mission. Rest in peace, Thomas Mattingly. https://lnkd.in/eUT4TvA4
