Infinite Orbits selected by France for two GEO in orbit services missions! 🍾 Alongside our partner Telespazio France, we have been awarded not one but two contracts to demonstrate rendezvous and docking capabilities from 2026! - A first mission demonstrating an inspection of EUMETSAT's Meteosat 8 passivated asset, using our #OrbitGuard servicer, - A second mission with our life-extension servicer #Endurance to dock to and extend the lifespan of an end-of-life telecommunications satellite for 5 additional years. Our space-based SSA service in GEO is halfway through its development journey!    Thanks to a France2030 project awarded by CNES started in 2023, Infinite Orbits have been collaborating with Telespazio France in developing a space-based SSA service in GEO for a year. This project stands aside, with the goal to survey the GEO belt, collecting data directly with sensors in orbit to complete the catalog currently fed by ground based sensors.   This innovative in-orbit service will lead to refine our understanding of data in the Geostationary  Earth Orbit. Orbit Guard #3 will embed a tailor-made optical sensor with the capability of identifying objects smaller than 10 cm, which previously remained unseen from ground surveillance. Based on Orbit Guards raw data, Telespazio France will be able to locate and characterize the detected objects, enabling to distinguish between them, based on their processed trajectory, thereby continuously enhancing awareness of the space environment in GEO.   After a year of collaboration in this project with Telespazio France and CNES - that’s half of the road already traveled!    CNES Telespazio France #InfiniteOrbits #InOrbitServices #SpaceSituationalAwareness #France2030

A new European project led by our team ! 🍾 3 months ago, we teamed up with Berlin Space Technologies GmbH,  Dawn Aerospace, Space Applications Services NV/SA, Elecnor Deimos, Politecnico di Milano, SkyLabs d.o.o., ARIANESPACE and were selected by the European Commission on the HORIZON-CL4-2023-SPACE-01-22 to develop the ‘GEORyder’ servicer —a Green Reusable Kickstage Vehicle enabling Multiple GTO to GEO transfers for small satellites. For small geostationary satellites, access to space remains a major challenge, which is why we are working on a range of solutions to increase the possibilities. Derived from our work on our life extension servicer, Endurance, GEORyder will enable small satellites to be transported from GTO to GEO. Go Ariane 6! 🚀 Like many of you, we were very excited yesterday as we watched the successful first launch of Ariane 6. And what a thrill it was to imagine that, in 2 years, Endurance could be in orbit thanks to this achievement of ARIANESPACE 🛰️ This successful lift-off opens up great launch opportunities for the entire European ecosystem, including Infinite Orbits' own missions, the due date for which is fast approaching! ⏱️
