[#Spain] The #RENergetic consortium has held its tenth and final PMB in the city of Stuttgart, Germany. We met at the University of Stuttgart, a centre of academic excellence and innovation that plays a crucial role in industry and research both nationally and internationally. RENergetic Project is a project that empowers Energy Communities based on a Quality Economy, where living and working in a clean energy society is valued. This drives us to engage in processes traditionally hidden from local communities, such as heat and electricity supply. At this meeting, we conducted a final review of the project with the entire consortium before its completion in October this year. During the meeting, we covered topics such as the exploitation of results and the licensing of the developed solutions, among others. Inetum has been represented by Eduardo Vendrell del Río, PMP (Project Coordinator), Maria Perez Ortega (R&D Program Manager), Adrián Carrasco Revilla (Senior Data Scientist) and Alberto Palomero Prada (Innovation Engineer & Expert Consultant Virtual Reality) from Spain and Cindy Oelbrandt (Business Consultant) and Jérémy Wautelet (Senior Software Engineer) from Belgium. Our company is involved in the development of new #technologies, using #ArtificialIntelligence to adapt energy consumption, electric vehicles (EV) and heat to the existing supply of #RenewableEnergies. We also employ Mixed Reality and Virtual Reality for the configuration and optimisation of energy communities. On the other hand, our consortium is exploring how people can integrate the use of renewable energy into their daily lives. We want to help reduce global warming and optimise energy resources. This World Environment Day, G42 recognizes the significant environmental challenges posed by data centers. As the energy demands of AI continue to rise, achieving a balance with sustainability becomes increasingly crucial. To address this, G42 is constantly seeking alternative sources of clean energy. Our recent announcement about constructing a state-of-the-art green data center in Kenya, powered entirely by renewable geothermal energy, underscores our commitment to sustainability. This initiative is part of a $1 billion digital investment in Kenya, in collaboration with Microsoft and the Republic of Kenya’s Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, to support economic development across East Africa. In line with this vision, Khazna Data Centers are making significant strides with their "Future First Strategy." Utilizing a unique modular design to reduce construction time and energy use, Khazna has achieved an average Power Usage Efficiency (PUE) of less than 1.5, below the sector average. Their 'durable first' approach cuts water consumption, prioritizes reuse and recycling, and sets the path towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Khazna is dedicated to a better future for the planet, their employees, and the communities they serve.
