Moto GP #snsinstitutions #snsdesignthikers #designthinking Grand Prix motorcycle racing is the highest class of motorcycle road racing events held on road circuits sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM). Independent motorcycle racing events have been held since the start of the twentieth century[1] and large national events were often given the title Grand Prix.[2] The foundation of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme as the international governing body for motorcycle sport in 1949 provided the opportunity to coordinate rules and regulations in order that selected events could count towards official World Championships. It is the oldest established motorsport

QATAAARRRR 😎 Big challenges ahead for Kevin Magnussen this weekend! Not only will the Danish Formula 1 driver explore the Lusail International Circuit for the first time in his carreer – it’s also Sprint Weekend, which means lesser time for preparations before qualifying and race. K-Mag placed his MoneyGram Haas F1 Team VF-23 race car on a P19 in Friday’s qualifying for Sunday’s Grand Prix. “It’s a new track for me and I found it a little more difficult to learn than I had hoped. It’s a pretty tricky circuit to drive and not having been to it before, it’s taken me a while to get on top of it. So, there’s a lot more lap time to find from me. It’s a long weekend ahead still, but of course disappointed with P19, but we’ll try and do better in the next session,” said Kevin Magnussen. The Qatar Grand Prix will be the fourth of six Sprint Weekends in 2023, and despite the disappointing qualifying result, Kevin Magnussen still likes the format. “Yes, I enjoy Sprint Weekends because there’s more pressure. Most of the weekend, even with the first practice session there’s pressure because it’s the only one you get. From the beginning of the weekend, it’s more exciting.” FUN FACTS: The Lusail International Circuit, located just outside the capital of Doha, hosted it’s very first Formula 1 Grand Prix in 2021, with the country signing an 10-year contract from 2023. The 5.4km track is primarily designed for motorcycle racing which makes it a fast and flowing track, where medium- and high-speed corners predominate. Over one kilometre of the track’s total length is made up of the main straight, which provides plenty of overtaking opportunities into Turn 1… The weekend’s first and only practice session was completed on Friday, as was the qualifying for Sunday’s GP. Saturday will begin with the Sprint Shootout – that’s the qualifying for the Sprint – and will be followed by the Sprint Race. Sunday’s 57-lap-long Qatar Grand Prix begins at 20:00 local time (GMT 3). Wanna follow live? BWT Alpine F1 Team heads to Spielberg for Round 11 of the 2024 FIA F1 World Championship, the Austrian Grand Prix. Esteban Ocon says: I have always liked racing in Austria. I have some fond memories here. Back in 2020, after a year out from racing, racing in Spielberg was the first one of the season. I remember the very wet Qualifying that year when we managed to qualify in fifth. In 2022, we had a good weekend here, taking ten points in fifth place. The track itself is short so usually the field is close and every hundredth and thousandth of a second counts. We have to get our high speed balance right and the aim for us is keep the positive trend going, which means an eye on Q3 again and, of course, valuable points. Pierre Gasly also says: Triple headers are always challenging. After Barcelona we’re straight into Austria and for a busy Sprint weekend. Spielberg is a short lap, the shortest for lap times during the year, with only nine corners. It’s a challenging one with kerbs, hard braking zones and a lot of high-speed corners. It’s always a very good event in Austria, a great atmosphere and a place I have enjoyed racing. We must take our learnings from Barcelona – especially high speed performance and balance – and apply them here this weekend. As it’s a Sprint we have to be on the pace straight away and put ourselves in a position to compete in both races. Did you know, Alpine performed its three fastest pitstops of the 2024 season in the Spanish Grand Prix. With Pierre Gasly’s 2.32s stop in the Japanese GP being their previous best, the team performed stops of 2.03s (Ocon), 2.24s (Gasly) and 2.27s (Ocon again) in Catalunya, making Alpine the third-fastest team in pitlane in 2024, behind only championship leaders Oracle Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Ferrari HP. #Alpine #alpinecars #alpineracing #alpinef1team #f1 #formula1 #AlpineF1 #AustrianGP #redbullring #AlpineCars #spielberg #raceday #teamenstone

Here you can find my last editorial for the May's edition of the MXGP Magazin. Infront Moto Racing Infront Sports & Media AG #infrontmotoracing #infrontsports #allaboutsports #allaboutmxgp #mxgp #mx2 #motorsports #motocross #riders #marketing #sports #sportsbusiness #sportmarketing #mxgpmag
David Luongo – EDITORIAL – MXGP MAG #128 As we are gearing up for the Liqui Moly MXGP of Germany in Teutschenthal, it is already the time for our May’s edition of the MXGP Magazine. The past month has been very intense with our first triple headers Grand Prix that took place in Portugal, Spain and France. The MXGP of Portugal was very challenging with the weather conditions, but despite the very heavy rain during the whole weekend in Agueda, we, together with the local organizer, were capable to deliver a Grand Prix in good conditions. It is in these occasions that you really realise how much effort and determination motocross requires, and how much the sport is growing. In fact our champions are constantly proving that they can ride in any condition, and it is not the case in any other sport. I would also like to emphasise the great work made by the track crew and the organizer; they did an amazing work on the track during the whole Saturday night until Sunday morning to allow the Grand Prix to take place, and also in between the different races. Pauls Jonass got his first Grand Prix victory in the MXGP class during this crazy weekend, and it was a great reward for Honda Standing Construct Team. One week later, Spain welcomed the MXGP on a bright new track in the beautiful region of Galicia, near the hometown of the reigning World Champion Jorge Prado. This new track, designed on a very natural and elevated area, received a lot of positive feedback from the whole paddock. The Spanish fans answered massively the call and came to cheer for the local hero. Jorge Prado made a perfect weekend and won the Grand Prix. Then we went back to Saint Jean d’Angely for the Monster Energy Grand Prix of France. We had to face again a very challenging weekend with heavy rain during Saturday and Sunday. Here again the organizer together with our track crew did an amazing job of maintenance on the track and the whole venue. The French fans came once again massively to celebrate the comeback of the best riders in the world after the Monster Energy MXoN that took place in Ernee last October. […] Read all the Editor here https://lnkd.in/dansxy6t We cannot wait for the racing this weekend in Teutschenthal for the next round of the MXGP World Championship. See you in Germany! SUPER SPICY & MODIFIED 2024 @ATCM track will be inspected for the start of Super Spicy and Modified Training and Races By: Ildo Alfredo After successfully completing last week the rainwater drainage works on the main track of the Club House, the only Zone missing for the complete removal of the water, the ATCM takes one more step towards the official opening of the main track (Raceway) for free practice and for the start of the Super Picanto and Modified Speed Championships. In observance of the technical procedures for the use of the track after remaining for a long time under the rainwater, a technical team consisting of Jô Lima and Álvaro Quintas will inspect the track this week early on Thursday to assess the current conditions in the same one is found before it was reused for Super Hot and Modified speed races. The inspection of the track will have the presence of the members of the ATCM Management, the departments of the association's Automotive competitions, and the main objective is to assess the condition of the track in detail, especially some areas of the circuit that have been under rainwater for a long time. Despite the main track being free of rainwater and slowly drying out, which is a good sign for riders and speed racing teams that their use for free practice and Super Hot and Modified competitions can only happen after the result of the Inspection, according to our source, the Director General of the ATCM Nuno Sousa, who by the way is coordinating all the sporting activities of the Collective. Data collected by our reporting team on the ATCM track, activities are gradually resuming and the highlight is on the recently successful completion of the 1st Spinning Rivals test which had Pilot Adil Delgado as the winner, as well as the Food Fair held at the last weekend This week at the Maputo International Speedway which featured sports activities of Spinning, Drift and Motocross demonstration. #ATCM #Racetrack #cars #run #drive #sportscar #racing #motorsports #ride #car #racecar #engine #tire #motorsport #sportscars #raceweekend #racesuit #raceteam
