Meet Siim Nõmme, the Head of our Special Engineering and Prototyping Department. Siim was the third engineer to join Milrem, and he has taken various roles, starting from a mechanical engineer. Siim also dedicates his time to teaching part-time at Tallinn University of Applied Sciences: "I continuously seek opportunities to expand my knowledge. Teaching and delivering lectures in schools introduce me to fresh perspectives. Staying informed about our industry keeps me updated on what our partners and competitors are up to. Most importantly, I maintain an open mind. I believe that being receptive to others' expertise and acknowledging that there's always more to learn is the key to personal growth." Siim emphasizes that our education system often struggles to bridge the gap between theory and practice. That's why he's passionate about teaching part-time: "I believe that industry professionals like us can provide invaluable insights and experiences that traditional educators may lack." Already during his university years, when he was part of the Formula Student project and competed against top universities worldwide, he learned that innovation knows no boundaries, and that we are just as talented as any of the other major countries. However, it's not just about inspiring young minds; it's more about showcasing that Estonia can be a hub for world-class technology development and engineering. Milrem serves as a prime example of this transformation, as we are dedicated to pushing boundaries. Education, innovation, and personal growth are interconnected elements at Milrem. Innovation and staying at the forefront of industry trends are fundamental to our existence. Together, we are shaping a brighter future and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in engineering and technology. If you also want to be at the forefront of innovation, keep an eye on our career opportunities😉 #Milrem #MilremRobotics #LifeatMilrem #Innovation #CuttingEdgeTech

EMBRACE THE RIDE FUEL YOUR PASSION | AN ASPIRING STUDENT OF MECHATRONICS ENGINEERING | TAKING FORWARD TO LEARN NEW THINGS
Heyy Connections!!! Exploring Innovation: A Glimpse into Venson Engineering Company that we visited on 2/12/2023 Industrial visits play a pivotal role in the educational journey of students, providing them with a firsthand understanding of the practical aspects of their field of study. These visits, often organized by educational institutions, bridge the gap between theory and application, offering an immersive learning experience. One of the primary advantages of industrial visits is the exposure they provide. Students get the opportunity to witness the functioning of various industries, observe manufacturing processes, and understand the technologies employed. This exposure goes beyond textbooks, enabling them to grasp the complexities involved in real-world scenarios. Moreover, these visits allow students to interact with industry professionals and experts. Engaging in discussions, asking questions, and seeking guidance from experienced individuals can immensely benefit students, offering them insights into industry trends, career prospects, and the skills required in their chosen field. Another crucial aspect of industrial visits is their role in igniting curiosity and inspiring innovation among students. Witnessing innovation in action, observing how companies tackle challenges, and witnessing breakthroughs firsthand can motivate students to think creatively and innovatively. Furthermore, industrial visits aid in aligning academic knowledge with industry requirements. Understanding the practical applications of theories learned in classrooms helps students comprehend the relevance of their academic curriculum in real-world scenarios. It empowers them to tailor their learning to meet industry demands. In conclusion, industrial visits serve as a bridge between academia and industry, offering students a holistic view of their chosen field. The exposure gained, insights gathered, and connections made during these visits are invaluable, shaping students into well-rounded professionals ready to face the challenges of the industrial landscape. Thank you, Venson Engineering Company, for giving us this chance to Explore the New Technologies. I also like to Thank my tutors Swathi Jagadees and Sambasivam Rajan for help us to gain knowledge. #snsinstitutions #designthinkers #snsdesignthinking #snsct #snsmct
