🎉 Today, I'm celebrating 2 years at Deel! 🎉
Grateful and excited to mark my 2nd work anniversary at Deel and I want to share a few cool things that I have experienced during these past 2 years here.
Let's start with a piece of my pitch to candidates, something I love to share in every interview: "(...) when I joined Deel, we were about 500 people, and today we have 3000 team members working from 100 countries (...)". This is the best example to show people how fast things are happening here and how the term "hyper-growth company" gets its meaning (among other things, of course).
It's been an awesome journey witnessing our company's tremendous growth, and I'd like to also share some of my contributions and give a shout-out to the people who have helped me do so:
💼 Accomplishments & Impact:
I have helped save the company over USD 300k in recruiting agency fees by effectively identifying, engaging, and screening passive candidates for the Engineering department (for many roles, from Backend to Security Architect).
As a whole TA R&D team, in the past 2 years, we helped scale the Engineering department from 48 team members to 400. It's been an incredible journey, full of challenges, but together, we've shaped a more efficient hiring process, aligning with our goal of success. Of course, we were able to accomplish this because we have an amazing team full of great people. Special thanks goes to Huw Sensier, Florencia Gandulia Nordmann, Julien CIFTCI, Viktoriia Konkevych, Valentina Jambrušić, Paula Gómez Asensio, Nadine P., Adriana Agudelo.
🌍 LATAM Engineering Expansion:
Even though I started sourcing candidates globally, we then changed a few things to be more strategic, and one of the most fulfilling aspects has been contributing to the growth of the LATAM Engineering department. From a tight-knit team of 10 people, we've grown into a powerhouse of 150 passionate devs from LATAM. It's been a privilege to be part of this expansion and witness the collective expertise that now defines us.
🎯 Projects:
I've had the opportunity to work cross-functionally and contribute to other teams and departments. Developing a Market Mapping project alongside Laura Cortes, Zaahid Solomon, Ana Paula Freymuth, Camila Sanchez for internal TA use 💙
Another project that I feel very proud of is the development of a Dashboard for the HRBP team. Many thanks to Shrutika Sachdev, PHR and Nadia Alaee for giving me the chance to lead this initiative and apply my (very) recent skills and knowledge in Looker Studio.
