In honour of #InternationalWomensDay, new data are available on the gender representation among Canadian members of Parliament (MPs) and Cabinet: • The proportion of women among MPs has increased. • In 2023, 30.6% of MPs were women, compared with 20.6% in 1997. • In 2023, the proportions of women (48.7%) and men (51.3%) in Cabinet were comparable.
