Collaborating with Healthcare Organizations to Find Nurses, Allied Health & Leadership Talent || Market Partner @ i4 Search Group
The perfect nurse for every small-town hospital is out there. But they probably don’t even know the opportunity exists. When a hospital’s recruiters & talent acquisition team exhausts every nurse in town, and in the next town over, too, where do they look? How do they identify a med surge nurse at a NYC hospital who’s at the point in his career where he’s ready for a slower pace? And how do they attract that nurse to their small town in Texas or Oklahoma once they’ve identified him? Go past the skills, experience, job description, & hourly rate. Talk about what it’s like to live & work in your town & at your hospital. Make it easier to move there. Make sure every nurse you contact knows all the reasons why working with your org is a pleasure, especially if they could make a few dollars an hour more by working in a major city.

👨⚕️ Meet Chester, a dedicated Junior Medical Officer in the Women and Children Division at North Canberra Hospital. We had a chat with him about his experiences, and here's what he had to say: 🔄 ‘This is my second rotation here. It's been great! This was my favourite rotation last year, and it's fantastic to be back.’ 🤝 What stands out to you about this unit? ‘The team dynamics are amazing. You build strong professional relationships with everyone - midwives, doctors, nursing staff, assistants. It's like a big family.’ 🌟 What's the most rewarding part of your job? ‘I love the teamwork. When it clicks, it makes the job a lot smoother.’ 🏥 What are you most proud of working here at North Canberra Hospital? ‘The professional friendships I've formed. They make the work fulfilling and, dare I say, easier.’ 🔄 What sets this place apart for you? ‘It's smaller, less chaotic, and you really get to know the staff. The teamwork is exceptional, including among junior doctors.’ 🌜 Any impactful days at work you'd like to share? ‘Definitely. There are tough days, but they're balanced out by the wealth of experience here. And let's not forget the great conversations we have about improving patient care.’ 💡 What inspired you to become a doctor? ‘Pressure from parents, of course! But beyond that, I genuinely enjoy this line of work. Helping people, learning, and working in teams are what drew me in." 👨⚕️ Finally, any advice for those considering this career path? ‘Self-care is key. Prioritise what's important to you, and don't hesitate to seek support. It can get overwhelming, but reaching out is the first step.’ #TeamCHS #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork #NorthCanberraHospital

Medical Operations, Clinical Coordinator @HCG Cancer Center || Ex Pristyn Care || Ex Max Healthcare || MHA (IIPH-G)
As we kick off the new year, it's a perfect moment to ponder our aspirations. Flashback to the beginning of my career journey in 2019 when I was a student nurse straight out of Sharda University—oh, the world seemed like one big adventure! Back then, my understanding of a job was a bit fuzzy – maybe it's about making money and treating myself? Well, yeah, but as time rolled on, it dawned on me that there's more to it, especially when the pandemic shook our country. Amidst serving patients for 12 hours a day, a pivotal moment struck when my father was admitted to the hospital's ICU. That day, it hit me – my goal should extend beyond just making money; it should be about making a difference. Fast forward through two years of mastering my craft, and I found myself back in the hospital industry, but this time in a "management" role :) Now, my goal is crystal clear: to work relentlessly on myself, honing my skills to a level that makes me genuinely proud. Here's to a new chapter and the journey ahead! 🚀 #careergrowth #contentcreation #somethingforeveryone #hospitalindustry #hospital

As a future NP, this was an interesting read! Hopefully physicians and nurse practitioners can figure out how to work together instead of against each other over a “title” to take care of our communities! What are your thoughts?
President @ the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Associate Dean & Associate Professor @ Columbia University School of Nursing, Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Doctoral Nursing Practice
My doctorally-prepared nurse practitioner colleague Arlene Wright and I were interviewed for this Washington Post article about titles and about the NP profession as a whole. Certainly an interesting article and at times questions the NPs existence altogether with the typical denigration we are used to hearing for turf protection. The reader comments are equally as interesting.... What do you think? https://lnkd.in/eHWdpukm
