03. Career Aspiration [Vision Emerged from Business Trip Experience in Thailand] In May 2023, I successfully concluded my involvement with the visit of Siam Piwat Retail buyers from Thailand, earning recognition for my store strategic planning skills and communication skills. Subsequently, in July 2023, I joined the business trip team for the renewal opening directing of the Siam Center store in Thailand. Throughout the trip, I conveyed a DP with a similar layout and mood to Korean stores, organized the opening event, and, most importantly, focused extensively on effective communication to establish cooperative relationships with store staff and buyers. For instance, faced with questions from store employees due to the outdated VM guide in Thailand and differences in VM practices between the two countries, I adeptly played the role of a bridge. I explained the rationale behind the VM direction and we collaborated with them to modify the DP on the spot. As a result, the store was also close to a successful renewal with synergy that increased day by day. Despite the store size being reduced by over half, sales grew, and the number of customers increased, garnering favorable consumer responses for emerging Korean designer brands compared to the previous figures. Through this experience, I once again realized the importance of teamwork and communication with partners for revenue enhancement. Recognizing that being an MD requires not only management skills but also essential practical communication abilities, I developed a personal vision to become an Merchandiser who possesses both smooth yet assertive communication and partnership skills. In response, I am eager to become an MD who passionately follows up on team's initiatives to expand and elevate the quality of on-offline portfolio.
