Learning and development are a key business function - that also requires plenty of resources. How to justify a sufficient training budget - and how do you allocate resources optimally? Here are some tips: 🥅 Understand what you are doing. If you are training just because, you are unlikely to make waves. Plan your training programs strategically to serve the organization's overarching goals. ⚒ Choose adequate tools. Use due consideration when shopping for software tools and pick one that serves the specific needs of your organization. This way you won't pay for unnecessary features and will get everything you need done. 🤝 Engage learners. Even the best training program will not provide value if no one participates in it. Ensure that your staff knows about the training program and sees it as an asset. 📆 Think long term. Training will improve business operations, but often slowly and indirectly. Measure training impact and develop iteratively. #training #onboarding #HR #LMS #Workseed

If you want to keep your team ahead, you will need more than a one-size-fits-all approach to training. Skill training is about building the right strategy, whether it’s upskilling your team to sharpen their current expertise or reskilling them for new roles. In fact, in all my years of working alongside leading enterprises, the one thing I have consistently observed is that companies that embrace tailored skill training significantly improve employee performance. Plus, they also successfully create an overall culture of innovation within the organization. And with the right tools like LMS and LXP, it’s not just doable, it can be downright exciting! Are you aware that you can simply determine the effectiveness and efficiency of both technical and non-technical training programmes? With the help of quantifiable measures, you can do that very easily. Quantifiable measures are important for both technical and non-technical training programmes. Why? ✅ Quantifiable measures allow HR professionals and trainers to assess the effectiveness of training programmes objectively. They provide concrete data on the extent to which participants have acquired new knowledge, skills, and competencies. ✅ Quantifiable measures enable organisations to calculate the return on investment (ROI) of their training initiatives. By comparing the costs of training with measurable outcomes, companies can determine whether the training programme has generated tangible benefits for the organisation. ✅ Quantifiable measures help identify existing skill gaps within the workforce. By seeing employees' performance before and after training, HR professionals can pinpoint areas where additional training or development is needed to enhance proficiency. ✅ Quantifiable measures ensure that training initiatives are aligned with organisational goals and priorities. By setting specific performance metrics and objectives, organisations can track progress towards achieving strategic objectives and business outcomes. ✅ Quantifiable measures increase accountability for both trainers and participants. Trainers can be held accountable for delivering high-quality training programmes that produce measurable results, while participants are accountable for actively engaging in the learning process and applying new skills on the job. Do you use quantifiable measures during the training programme? P.S. At D&K, we use complete, quantifiable measures to show the results of training. If your organisation is looking for training programmes that can show results in numbers too, then feel free to contact us at 📞 91-9879108682. #trainingprogram #learninganddevelopment #hrconsultant #traininganddevelopment #communicationcoach #employeedevelopment #hr #hrtraining
