Remote workers have a better quality of life. They don’t have to: - Wake up 1 hour earlier to commute to work - Panic about organising childcare every day - Waste their evenings in rush hour traffic - Drain their money on after-work drinks - Not see their kids for 10 hours a day - Navigate unreliable public transport This gets eliminated. Remote work gives people freedom to: - Replace commute time with wellbeing time - Spend their money on fulfilling activities - Indulge in their hobbies and interests - Enjoy quality time with their families - Be in control of their schedule - Protect their mental health Companies that can offer remote work, but don't... CHOOSE to make life worse for employees. It’s them saying: “We don’t care about people’s lives outside of work.”

The attitude of many companies is often a one-way street, where employees must organise everything around work. Sometimes this is possible, but life evolves and people's needs change. Remote work allows for these changes without impacting work, making it a win-win situation.

I love the highlighting of that last message Ilse! That is exactly it - they do not care how people operate in this 21st century post-pandemic world because they are so stuck in their old-fashioned ways. Well, those employers are going to have to wake up soon because great employees will make the move and choose somewhere that DOES care!

Whenever I visit back home I'm always so happy that I've never had to commute 2hrs per day traffic jams. It just seems like such a silly time waste. 🤯 That's like 480 hrs accumulating to 20 full cycles around the moon. So here's to tides and seasons. ❤️ Remote is here to stay!

The issue is that the life outside of work is the bit that truly matters and if that's not supported...

My commute used to be 2.5 hours EACH WAY every day. I am so happy to not be doing that any more. Running my own remote business and working from home is absolutely the best way of working, I don't think I could ever go into employment again. I also think you take more pride in your work.

Well said! Remote work truly transforms the quality of life, offering flexibility and well-being that traditional office setups can't match. It's time more companies recognize this.

Not to mention lunch time wellbeing. I exercise at lunch time (yes I could go to the gym and used to but it’s way more hectic). Today I decided to do some gardening instead. So nice to go back to your desk when you are fully refreshed.

Giving employees trust to work flexible is the best thing that employer can do. Going to the office won't make anyone more productive. It might help for some individuals to focus, but shouldn't be obligatory. 👀

I think giving people this flexibility makes them work harder.
