On June 18, families from Plumeria House had a fantastic time painting birdhouses donated by the The Art Box Academy and enjoying a delicious dinner sponsored by Prospera Hotels, Inc. Our amazing volunteers were on hand to serve dinner, facilitate activities, and lead a heartwarming storytime session. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this a wonderful event for our families! Your support and participation are truly appreciated.

Unlocking Business Potential: Helping Ambitious Business Owners Build Sustainable, Scalable and Sellable Ventures with Loom Principles | Achieved 250% Company Growth Rising from Apprentice to Group Director
Congratulations Team Space2BHeard CIC What can you learn for your business from this amazing bunch? This past weekend I had the pleasure of being the support driver as my wife and her work colleagues took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for a cause very personal to one of the group. Not the ideal weekend to pick as it was very hot and incredibly humid, but they all managed to complete the challenge. So what can we learn? 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 - All of them had to dig deep at various points and find it within to push through those hard moments knowing it would get better. 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 - There were so many stories afterwards of helping each other at various points. It is very difficult to achieve anything of significance entirely on your own. 𝗘𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 - They weren't entirely focused on finishing but as the photos show, they made sure they took time to enjoy the journey too. 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 - Saving the most important until last. With out doubt the biggest motivating factor for completing was the reason for the walk. A higher purpose for a business acts in the same way for it's people. I have to share this post for two reasons. One is that I am a proud trustee for Humanimal Trust and really believe in One Medicine for humans and animals (watch the video - Noel explains it better). The second is that I know how many will appreciate how ridiculously cute Noel’s cat, Richochet, is! #onemedicine #humanimaltrust
Happy 10th Birthday Humanimal Trust!! Today, 6th May, we are celebrating our 10th birthday, the day our charity was founded by Professor Noel Fitzpatrick back in 2014. This day is now known as One Medicine Day. We want to thank each and every one of you for your support and dedication for the charity. You are all amazing! Without you we simply would not be here. Thank you from everyone here at Humanimal Trust.

What is the value of ”Take Your Daughter to Work Day? We think it is education and empathy, so the child knows what the parent does daily, but it is so much more. It instills lifelong work values. Meahgan Gibson attended a “Take Your Daughter to Work Day” at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. To this day she reminds me of a few choice words I stated during a staff meeting but she also pursued a career in Leisure and Hospitality. More importantly she picked up values like; everybody is critical to success (especially the lowest paid hourly associates), every person has a story, treat people with dignity and respect, and if they have a name tag, user their name. Grow by trying new things that others shy away from. Powerful words are “thank you” and “can you help me”, and assisting others even if you do not have time. Today this was in my feed. I had no idea she was working on this. Biscuits and socks, who knew? But more importantly, a young professional (from a generation many professionals belittle) leading a project that reflects well on the brand and does good for the community. Also hats off to Dennis Pfaff, Maple Street Biscuit Company and Cracker Barrel for creating an organization culture where young professional growth occurs. Take your daughter to work and as a leader, your relationships matter more than you know. #cio #leadership
TLDR: I've been working on something pretty cool! "The Maple Street Mantra: Help People, Serve Others, Be A Part Of The Community" is why I joined the team. I'm grateful to Maple Street Biscuit Company for allowing me to take on something so near and dear to who we are. *Maple Street Silly Socks* a portion of sock sales will go directly to LifeQuest Organ Recovery Services and U.F. Health, supporting their incredible work to maximize the Gift of Life through organ and tissue donation. This is particularly meaningful because giving back has always been a big part of who I am. From working with the Miami Children's Initiative during my time at the University of Florida to my work with the Harrison County Community Foundation, I've seen firsthand the impact we can make when we come together. Your support means the world and will help create positive change in our community. P.S. The socks are pretty cool as well https://lnkd.in/gKJnfwB6

The NSC Labor Division would like to thank IBEW Boston Local 103 Brother and co-owner of McDonald Electric Corporation Tom Cooney. His steadfast caring and generosity helps make the impossible - possible. #103sobrietygroup #ntmf #ibew #neca #boston #recovery #nsc #labordivision #NSCDivisions #Healthandsafety #mentalhealth #workplacementalhealth #mentallyhealthyworkplace #psychologicalhealthandsafety #psychosocialriskmanagement #endthestigma
A huge thank you to Tom for a very generous donation to the Sobriety group! The money we raise goes to things like sober housing, clothing, and toiletries. One of the best parts of this is, once they get back on their feet, they pay the Sobriety group back. It gives them a sense of pride to know that they are given back, and being a part of what helped them. #103sobrietygroup👊

CCO @Grace & Green | Improving access to sustainable period products | Championing period dignity for all🩸Coaching | Consulting | Mentoring | Founder @Seed to Oak
When I joined Grace & Green in 2022 as Head of Growth, my very first presentation to the Board was about how we took what had been created in Period Dignity and use this to have a much wider impact on both the business and the world of work. How would we make Period Dignity the market leader (with very little money to spend to do so)? I don't have enough space in this post to work through exactly what I set out in that meeting, however it boiled down to: ✌ Understanding the impact we want to have: It's always been about more than supplying products - Education is woven into the threads of Period Dignity. To achieve period dignity we need access to information, availability of products and acceptance within workplace culture - we designed our offering and continue to develop everything we do around these pillars. This was summed up perfectly by a client (John) who said "Grace & Green don't just supply a product, they create a CULTURE". Exactly John. ✌ Remember who we are and why we are doing it: Unsurprisingly, the workplace space has and is becoming more competitive. This is excellent news, as more businesses embrace free period care as a basic right, and especially comforting how many are choosing a more sustainable providers. As now Chief Commercial Officer, it's also mildly stressful (mildly 🙃 ). However, dignity continues to be about more than avoiding getting caught short, it's about embracing inclusivity and supporting our Members to deliver dignity for all, no matter of age, gender identity, or how they experience their period. There's still a long way to go, and we've got SO much more coming here... ✌ Treat every customer like they are absolutely making our day. This is perhaps a small business mindset, or when many of the team have done almost every job in the company. We all remember the THRILL of winning our first big contract, the DELIGHT of walking into a shop and seeing our products on shelf, or randomly walking into the bathroom BEAMING seeing our products. We don't take for granted the fact we get to be in people's everyday. (For me this has never worn off, my heart still skips a little when I process an order, receive a tender award notice, or see a customer talking about us on socials.) Particularly grateful for our team for supporting our phenomenal YOY 120% growth, for challenging, pushing our vision and positioning, and for being excellent. I'm incredibly proud of what we and our members are doing to drive inclusivity, awareness and dignity within their workplaces and educational establishments. I can't wait to see what the next two years can hold. Happy Birthday Period Dignity. x
Two years of Period Dignity 🎉 It's #WorldMenstrualHygieneDay and we're celebrating two years of making periods dignified and accessible for everyone. Since launching, our Period Dignity scheme has helped over 400 businesses, schools and public institutions provide sustainable period products to those who need them most. Together we've: ❋ Supplied 9 million free-to-access sustainable period products ❋ Delivered 9,800 free period packs to those who need them in partnership with local councils ❋ Stocked 60 universities and schools with Grace & Green products ❋ Donated £97,000 worth of period products to charitable organisations, including local food banks, in 2023 alone. Thank you to our community and incredible partners and supporters for making helping us make a difference. Check out our visits to New Cut Coffee, BIMM University, OVO, Watershed, and Wiper and True. Thank you Honeywell Bakes for our beautiful birthday biscuits.

📚UPDATE📚 Thank you for everyone who has donated so far however we are still very short on funds and time….please continue to share as we still need about $7,000. The Book Worm received a beautification grant to enhance our outdoor area. We plan to create an amazing story garden for things like storytime, workshops, community reading, a place for teachers to reserve for field trips, and so much more. The bad news is that it is a matching grant and the project needs to be completed by April 2024 to receive the funds. Even matching, the grant does not fully cover what is needed to complete the project and keep The Book Worm running. This time The Book Worm needs your help. We have found a great family-owned local business that can help bring this vision to life. Not only will they be able to help us meet our deadline to receive the grant, but they have graciously agreed to donate the labor and materials to create an outdoor book nook in memory of Aaliyah Marshall-Douglin who passed away last year. Before the bookstore, there was Julia the author. Author of the I Love ME! Book Series and with that a journey of I Love ME! Ambassadors. Aaliyah Marshall-Douglin was one of the original I Love ME! Ambassadors and the I Love ME! team have wanted to honor her memory and love for literacy. The book nook is our way of doing that. Here is where we need your help. We need to come up with a minimum of $8,000 to get things started and to be able to begin the work all while keeping The Book Worm running. We also could use some help when it comes to demolishing the existing structure. Any labor we can take care of, will help reduce our overall costs. https://lnkd.in/et4CY-Tn
