Significant level of welding
📢 Giant Equinor FPSO "Johan Castberg" is set to brave the harsh arctic conditions of the Barents Sea for the next 30 years. Our customer IKM Testing AS have performed a detailed inspection of the cargo tanks, with focus on coating conditions and as-built structure welded to the underside of the cargo tank deck. The unlimited flight time of the Scout 137 Drone System was crucial for the thorough and timely completion of this large-scale project👍 Read more and watch the video! https://scoutdi.co/3VIhZya #DroneInspection #Offshore #OilandGas #Equinor #JohanCastberg #Innovation #SafetyFirst #Engineering

Change in technology to limit peaks of hydraulic fluid to sea.
Pushing the boundaries of subsea technology. Subsea7 has completed the first successful offshore trial of an initiative to eliminate hydraulic leaks in subsea diving operations through the development of advanced electric tools. As originator of the idea , Subsea7 partnered with iMPAQ TECHNOLOGIES, a small Scottish specialist in subsea electric innovation, who developed an innovative electrically-powered grinder/cutter tool for divers, designed to replace the traditional hydraulic tool. In June 2024, a prototype was tested by saturation divers at 141m depth in the North Sea and demonstrated excellent performance in setup, handling and power. Subsea7 and Impaq will continue collaborating to finalise the tool’s development and have plans for further testing on other Subsea7 dive vessels. This initiative showcases Subsea7’s commitment to sustainable delivery, striving to increase performance and efficiency, and shorten operation times for our clients. #ImpaqTechnologies #MakePossible #SubseaTechnology

Integrated Wind Solutions ASA (IWS) has full steam forward. Just a few months after we took delivery of our first newbuild, the IWS Skywalker, we today signed the delivery agreement for no 2, the IWS Windwalker. However, the best is yet to come… We will add an additional 4 more Skywalker’s to our fleet over the next 5 quarters. Due to this and backed by a strong charter backlog, IWS will show a massive growth in revenues and operating cash-flow over the next few years. Our fleet of Skywalker CSOVs are entering an offshore wind market full of activity and increasing demand for our services. The future looks bright. The shades are on… #CSOV #offshorewind
✨Today, we celebrate another milestone for IWS Fleet with the successful delivery of our second cutting-edge CSOV, the IWS Windwalker. A warm welcome to Captain Anton Sviridov, who took command of the vessel and hoisted the flags. The vessel will sail to Europe and commence the charter contract with TenneT TSO. The vessel will support maintenance for offshore substations in the Netherlands, demonstrating the ability of the Skywalker class to cover a range of requirements within offshore wind. We extend our best wishes to our dedicated team aboard the IWS Windwalker. Here's to safe travels and favourable winds! 🚢💨 #IWSWindwalker #IWS #OffshoreWind #WeHaveTimeForSafety 🌍

ABS to Class Two New Seatrium FPSOs for Petrobras (SINGAPORE) Seatrium announced that it has awarded the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) a Classification contract for the newbuild floating production storage and offloading vessels (FPSO) platforms P-84 and P-85 with the final delivery expected to 2029. These are the first FPSOs to be awarded following ABS and Seatrium’s Technology Collaboration Agreement (TCA), that aims to promote increased decarbonization, digitalization and innovation in the offshore industry. Both FPSOs will incorporate technologies that aim to enhance operational efficiency and reduce the environmental impact. Features will include zero routine flaring and venting, variable speed drives and measures to control emissions and capture CO2, including an all-electric concept, which focuses on efficient power generation and increased energy efficiency to achieve a 30 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions intensity compared to a design which does not include such technologies. “This is an exciting moment for the industry, and we are delighted to work with Seatrium on brand-new, state-of-the-art designs. The industry is going through tremendous change, and we are in a challenging market with limited supply and increasing demand for capacity. These new units are much needed assets that will be ready to meet the demand, support the energy transition and incorporate digitalization,” said Christopher J. Wiernicki, ABS Chairman and CEO. https://lnkd.in/eYhKy8hK

𝗧𝗠𝗧 𝗞𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀! It was a good week for us. While our team offshore set a new efficiency record, cutting eight wellheads in seven days (while also doing ROV inspections), onshore we attended the Drilling and Abandonment Conference in Perth where we presented a paper on Priorities for Success in Subsea Wellhead Severance The emphasis of our delivery was on the importance of not only good technology, but also having skilled, trained locally based people, equipment and top notch service facilities. Key takeaways: 🌟 Price is what you pay – value is what you get 🌟 Nothing is cheap if it doesn’t do what it says on the box 🌟 Real success is measured by outcomes – in our case that means wellheads recovered from the seabed Learn more about TMT here: www.tmtrov.com #engineering #ROV #oilandgas #subsea

📢Upstream LATAM News 🌎In case you missed this... Oceaneering's Subsea Robotics Achieves Landmark Success in Brazil! Oceaneering proudly announces the successful completion of its first onshore piloting of a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) from an onshore remote operation center (OROC) in Macaé, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 🤝 This milestone was made possible through a collaborative effort between Oceaneering and Petrobras, showcasing their dedication to innovation and operational excellence in the offshore industry. 🔧 The achievement required a sophisticated setup process to establish secure offshore connectivity, ensuring low latency and upholding stringent cyber security policies of both companies. 🔍 Scope of work consists of the Oceaneering team executing various tasks, including inspections and high-level activities such as hull inspections with cleaning and interventions, in water depths ranging from 5 m to 1100 m (16 ft to 3600 ft). The successful operations were conducted over 14 days in November 2023 onboard the CBO Manoella vessel, utilizing the 220 hp heavy work class Millennium® Plus ROV for remote operations from land. Removing #Drydock Requirement for #FSRU The combined implications of geopolitical challenges, the #EnergyTransition and the drive for minimising environmental impact have led to a rapid increase in the number of FSRUs servicing national energy requirements globally. Moored alongside a wharf close to an onshore LNG plant and/or a gas-fired power station, or near shore with pipeline connectivity, they are so positioned to fulfil their operational task. Coming off station and in to drydock for mandated survey, maintenance, repair or upgrade will mean that operational task will not be fulfilled, with significant financial implications; this course of action was how FPSOs had to start. Technology encouraged by the HITS JIP has transformed the #FPSO industry's views on diving and in the process become safer and more productive; EM&I Group has developed techniques for survey and now repair which remove requirement for drydock, allowing #diverless survey, #remote tank #inspection, and complex underwater repair without the need for drydock, minimising human intervention and enabling continuing fulfilment of those operational tasks. ODIN diverless underwater services, NoMan EXTRA remote inspection techniques and other innovative techniques will enable FSRUs to remain on station, fulfilling energy requirements. No drydock, safely and effectively. https://lnkd.in/gRTJ-EdJ
