The use of plastic products in the healthcare sector is negatively affecting human health and depleting natural resources 😷🌳 This is especially true in communities vulnerable to #ClimateChange 🌍 That’s why we’re proud to support Health Care Without Harm to reduce plastic production and pollution in the healthcare sector, and accelerate the development of innovative plastic alternatives. This month is #PlasticFreeJuly, an annual global movement that calls on participants to reduce their single-use plastic waste ♻️ Health Care Without Harm Europe is taking steps to reduce the use of plastic through their recent project, Born Green Generation, which aims to make toxic-free prenatal and postnatal care possible, protecting babies from harmful plastic exposure. Together, we’re generating the will, expertise, and energy to collectively advance our North Star of a climate-resilient and equitable health sector 🧑🤝🧑 Learn more about how Born Green Generation is driving transformational change and how you can get involved 👇 👇 https://lnkd.in/eDrXyc3q #ReducePlastic #ClimateSolutions #PeopleAndPlanet

I hade the great pleasure to meet Healthcare without harm when visiting India together with IKEA Foundation and listen to all the great work they do😍. Let’s all join the movement and reduce plastic waste. What can you do to reduce the use of plastic?

If there’s one industry that needs plastic, it’s the healthcare sector - and it needs remanufacturing of single use plastic products (that are not by design single use!) and coordinated substitution efforts, with the likes of ChemSec Sin List. Interesting collaboration. Looking forward to seeing how this collaboration feeds into IKEAs own plastic use.
