To me, Internal hackathon I participated changed me in very positive ways: I was inspired to learn more and challenge myself after having worked with people ahead of me. It can also be a very humbling experience I became more confident about my abilities to build things from scratch and get them out there The fast-paced environment of hackathons taught me to be more productive, finding and using the right tools for the task at hand The presentations are awesome in many ways. A good presentation is a quick show of talent, hard work, and genius. There's a lot to learn from this combination. I always go away with new ideas, new knowledge, and increased awareness of tools and concepts that will help me get my job done in the future.

Attending my first hackathon was an adventure in itself. Despite consuming endless YouTube content on the subject, I couldn't help but feel uncertain about what to expect. The fear of joining a room filled with seasoned hackers while I embarked on building a solution from scratch was real. However, as the day unfolded, I discovered that hackathons are not as daunting as they may seem. I found myself forming a team, connecting with new faces, absorbing valuable knowledge, and gaining fresh experiences. Plus, there were the perks of free food and swag, not to mention the possibility of winning awards. Despite not being as prepared as some of my fellow participants, I left my first hackathon with a determination to be better prepared for the next one. In hindsight, I can say that the hackathon was a moment of exploring areas of growth, learning, and the realization that stepping out of our comfort zones can lead to incredible opportunities. I look forward to what the future holds and am eager to embrace more "firsts" on this journey. If you're considering attending a hackathon or exploring new horizons, I encourage you to take that leap – you may just discover a world of possibilities.

This week I had the opportunity to participate in the TIAA T3 Hackathon. Throughout the hackathon, I had the chance to tackle real-world problems alongside my amazing team the AI: Wealth Wizards. Together, we jumped right into brainstorming solutions on how to educate our peers on retirement and used our problem-solving abilities to come up with fresh ideas. The rush of producing something useful and practical in a short amount of time was stressful, but having a team with a variety of skills minimized our worries. Using problem-solving skills to find unique approaches. The thrill of creating something functional and useful with limited time One of the most valuable takeaways for me was the power of collaboration. Working closely with my team taught me the importance of effective communication, embracing different perspectives, and leveraging each other's strengths. The pressure only fueled our determination to deliver exceptional results! Working closely with my team has taught me the value of clear communication, accepting other viewpoints, and maximizing our own abilities. When different minds work together for a same objective, you can achieve great things! Participating in this hackathon was a journey of growth and learning. I can't wait to apply these newfound skills and insights to future projects and continue making a positive impact! Thank you to Gabriela Mendieta, Leslie Beaver, Tieisha Smith, and Laurie Brown-Goodwine for putting this whole event together! #tiaaproud #blackwomenintech #hackathon #tiaa #blackintech

Want to know the secret ingredient to a winning hackathon project? 🏆 It's not just about the code - it's about the story you tell.📖 Ricky Diep, Product Marketing Manager at Microsoft dropped some wisdom in our recent webinar: "Any great product you build... if you're not able to teach people how to use it or showcase what it's built for, it may not be great without that story backing it." 📝 Hackathon participants, take note: Your ability to communicate the vision and application of your project could be the key to standing out. The basic things are done. Like : Login, create profile, user profile, create team page (user will have to put information about the hackathon for they are searching for team members, like name, date, location, skills needed), team up page (all hackathons can be seen here ). Now I need to work on a feature where, when a user clicks on the apply button on the card component, the users who have made the card (team member seeker for hackathon) will receive a notification or something like that.

🏆 Reflecting on a Remarkable Victory - Last Year's Hackathon Triumph! 🚀 Hello LinkedIn community! 👋 As I take a moment to reflect on the past year, I'm excited to share a milestone that still brings a smile to my face - our victory at the GreatMinds Hackathon! 🏆💻 Last year, my team and I delved into an incredible journey of innovation, collaboration to address a real-world challenge. It was an exhilarating experience, and I'm proud to say that our hard work paid off as we clinched the top spot! 🚀 Our winning project was a testament to the power of teamwork and creativity. From brainstorming sessions to debugging marathons, every moment was a step closer to success. The heart of our system lay in the development of a robust path reconstruction algorithm. This algorithm processed the data from the different cameras, stitched together the individual's movement seamlessly, and generated a coherent path on the 2D plane. It not only considered the spatial data but also factored in time, enabling us to visualize the entire journey. Similiar to the Maruader's Map for Harry Potter fans 😉. A special shoutout to the organizers for orchestrating a memorable event that brought together brilliant minds and pushed us to our limits. Reflecting on this achievement, I'm inspired to continue pushing boundaries and exploring new horizons in the tech space. The lessons learned and skills honed during the Hackathon have become valuable assets in my professional journey. As we kick off a new year, I'm excited about the opportunities ahead and eager to tackle fresh challenges. Here's to more innovation, collaboration, and success in 2024! 🌟 #HackathonVictory #ThrowbackThursday #InnovationJourney #TechAchievement #Teamwork #CodingSuccess #LinkedInReflections
