Guess what? Rishab Jain & Reyansh Juneja have made it to Cohort 3 of the 18startup fellowship with a 100% scholarship! After conquering 3 challenging stages of the ideathon, they've emerged as the most passionate and enthusiastic entrepreneurs. The journey to securing this opportunity was not a walk in the park. It all started with a quiz only 70% of the participants made it to round 2. Then, in round 2, they had just 20 minutes to come up with a solution to the problem. From there, only 7 people were shortlisted for the final stage, where they had to pitch their proposed solutions in a detailed 1-pager. The panel, consisting of Vivek Manoharan, PhD (CEO of 221B Biomedical) and Prakash Balasubramanian Iyer (CEO of 18startup community), gave everyone an equal scoring opportunity. I wanted to give a special shout-out to Jhanavi and sailahari battula. While they may not have emerged as the winners, I truly appreciate the excellent and insightful ideas they brought to the table. Special thanks to our collaborators for helping us make this event a success: Last Pivot, Trustopay, NEXTGEN NEXUS, NewBie Learning, NoobsVerse Pvt Ltd Teja Surishetti, Mohammed Zeeshan, Prakash Balasubramanian Iyer, Abhimanyu Rathi, Sakshi Shah, Ankit Sharma, Utkarsh Mishra, Shiva Charan Mandhapuram ⚡️, Rithvik Reddy, Rohith Gaddam, Harsha vardhan lankalapalli #18startup #18startupcommunity #ideathon #winner

You can make a difference in the world, and all you have to do is click the link below and scroll down to vote for my friend AndrewPaul (AP) McIntosh and his mates who are trying to lower the barrier to entry for becoming a medical student. There's a startup competition that's going on, from April 29 to May 3: the Startup World Cup! (LINK: https://lnkd.in/eSgubUax) The winner of this startup will receive $1 million in funding, but even if they don’t win they will receive visibility and more opportunities to spread their mission. They don’t need any money. They don’t need anything other than your vote. You don’t need to make an account. You only need to click the link and scroll down to King of the Curve. You can check out their pitch, learn about their company, and give them a vote by clicking on the vote now button. Just 15 seconds of your time! Do you think we have enough young people who want to become doctors and work in the medical field now? The truth is that it is hard and it is a long road, and less and less young people are pursuing this path every day. We have a shortage of doctors and the ones that are available are overworked. Please. If you have just 30 seconds, share their post, or leave a vote, or tell a friend! They are trying to make the world a better place. 🌎 🩺 #medicalstudents #growth #MCAT #health #startup #help

Happy February everyone! Thrilled to share that I recently had the incredible opportunity to compete in the UC Davis Little Bang Startup Competition, marking the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey! 🌟 Competing under the Neurotech Club at Davis added a significant layer of support to our journey. The club offered invaluable mentorship, guiding us through the intricacies of entrepreneurship. 🌱 Diving into Entrepreneurship: Little Bang was my first step into the entrepreneurial world, driven by a genuine desire to validate and create. To my surprise, there is a lot of work that goes into a business, as opposed to ideation. We had to conduct market research, determine product viability, and construct a profitable business model. 💡 Our Startup Idea: Our team tackled the neuro-marketing industry – using brainwave data for better advertisements. It's a simple idea with the potential to make a big impact in the advertising world. 🧠🚀 🌐 The Event: The competition buzzed with a dynamic atmosphere, uniting a community of ambitious minds and groundbreaking ideas. Networking sessions became a nexus for connecting with like-minded individuals, exchanging insights, and building lasting relationships. To end the night, our club won a grand total of $3,000! A huge shoutout to UC Davis for fostering such an empowering platform, to the judges for their valuable feedback, and to my fellow participants for making this experience truly unforgettable! 🙌 #LittleBang #startupjourney #neuromarketing #UCDavis #neurotechnology

Come one, come all to the premier Entrepreneurial Decision-making program in #Austin and at The University of Texas at Austin: SEAL 2024 - The LaunchPad at UT Austin, Nina Ho, and the Austin Technology Incubator attract exciting technologies and teams who must answer key market and development questions before declaring to "go all in" with the #startup experience. CEO @ Excedr 🔬| Host @ The Biotech Startups Podcast 🧬 | Former Researcher @ UC Berkeley 🐻 | On a mission to keep capital constraints from stifling innovation 🦠
Science knows no boundaries… So I’m extra excited to share Excedr's collaboration with our friends at the University of Toronto’s SpinUp at UTM. I know this is a little long, but I want to share this excerpt with you from their site about how SpinUp supports founders: “Early-stage entrepreneurs need dedicated, high-quality wet lab space and equipment to mature their intellectual property (IP) and attract external investment. But this space is scarce and often too expensive [...] SpinUp bridges the translation gap, providing early-stage life science founders access to highly subsidized wet lab co-working space, equipment, and infrastructure[...] Here, startups can focus their funds on developing their IP and strengthening their business case, tap the research strengths of a world top-twenty university and the commercial savvy of a world top-five university entrepreneurship network.” Fun fact: Since 2017, the only North American university to support more IP startups than U of T is… MIT. And at the risk of sounding like a broken record… I have to reiterate: Nothing like this existed just 10-12 years ago. Nada. Zilch. It’s important to me that we keep applauding them, encouraging them, and supporting them wherever we can. To our collaborators at U of T – we’re so excited to have you as our first international partner… Thanks for allowing us to lend our support! Europe needs a strategy for digital entrepreneurship development. There are so many universities with Computer Science programs where students are learning the technical aspects. Alongside that training, it would be great to equip them with entrepreneurship education out of the gate. One of the best ways would be to start a Tech Startup Incubator within the Computer Science department, and create a direct bridge with Silicon Valley. Would love to brainstorm on how we can make this happen through the 1Mby1M Incubator-in-a-Box for Schools. https://lnkd.in/gnhuvmtV Arnaldo Costeira, Andrei Vasilateanu, Sergiu Negut, Ovidiu Banias, Tabusca Alexandru, Raul Ionel, Adrian Spătaru, Sebastian-Aurelian Ștefănigă, Razvan Bogdan, Petra Žikić
