What a STEM Quad assembled to apprise the National Academies' Committee on PreK-12 STEM Education Innovations recently. L to R - Jeremy Babendure of AZ. SciTech Institute, Michael Vargas of AZ STEM Acceleration Project, Lee Meadows of Alabama STEM, and yours truly repping Iowa and the 2019-2023 Fed. STEM Plan. Among our oeuvre of works cited, our collective upshot to the committee was the moral and economic imperative of STEM education for all. The Committee will “… explore the impact and scalability of STEM ecosystem approaches, state-led STEM initiatives, and long-term content or resource-based initiatives” and report to Congress (thanks CHIPS Act!).
