Shri Ravinder, Principal Secretary, Livestock, Dairy Development & Fisheries, Govt of UP met Shri S Rajeev, ED, NDDB and other officers to discuss about various dairy development activities in the state and revitalisation of PCDF & affiliated unions. The meeting also covered the genetic improvement programme being implemented nationwide by NDDB, as well as by NDDB Dairy services in UP. An update on the NDDB-developed semen sexing technology was provided along with a discussion on the role of IVF technology in accelerating the genetic improvement programme. During the visit, Shri Ravinder toured NDDB’s display gallery – ‘Parikrama’ and NDDB’s wholly-owned subsidiaries IDMC Limited & NDDB CALF Limited. He also visited NDDB’s piloted initiatives in Mujkuva village of Anand including the manure management facility, Solar Pump Irrigators’ Cooperative Enterprise and the village dairy cooperative society. He interacted with farmer beneficiaries in the village. In addition, he visited Amul Dairy to observe facilities such as the dairy, powder, butter & chocolate plant to learn more about their operations and innovative initiatives.
