This kind of structure is lacking in #srilanka If at all, it's extremely poor and options are scarse. #lifesciences graduates are mostly encouraged to remain within academia as lecturers and to only pursue opportunities within that sphere whilst job roles in the other related industries are not encouraged. Hence, those industries falling short on actual expertise and skills and relying on school leavers and diploma holders so that they can pay lower salaries. Research opportunities are also very rare, what with an ailing economy it's honestly hard to see any hope for more jobs in that field. Within the tiny pool of vacancies the competition is high and not everyone is given an equal opportunity. I really hope we change our perspective on STEM jobs and create a healthy environment for #STEM industry jobs. It's a long shot, but fingers crossed.

They often collect customer insights and liaise between marketing and R&D to make sure products are meeting specific customer pain points. 2. Project manager - project managers oversee research and development projects from conception to completion. 3. Regulatory affairs manager - they keep companies on the straight and narrow with the laws and regulations that govern drug and medical device approvals. 4. Sales representative - if you worked in the lab, you saw these people at least once a week. They ask many questions so they can sell you the right stuff. I used to get annoyed with them but now they are one of my favorite groups of people. 😍 5. Medical science liaison - MSLs work with key opinion leaders in specific disease research areas so they can test upcoming medications as they seek approval from regulatory bodies. 6. Business development manager - BDMs identify new business opportunities and partnerships for biotech companies. 7. Quality control specialist - if you like checklists, you will like this job. They monitor production processes, review product documentation, and implement quality control procedures to ensure that products are safe and effective. 8. Medical communications - this is what I do. Super cool gig if you like to write and create content out of scientific data. 9. Field applications scientists - these scientists ensure that customers and clients are using a company's technology the way it's supposed to be used. Often they travel the "field" which is a given geographical territory. 10. Clinical trial liaison - CTLs like MSLs are crucial to the drug clinical trial process. CTLs are often a driving force behind patient enrollment in key clinical trials.
