INL Senior Research Scientist Rachel Emerson is changing the approach to manufacturing biofuels and biochemicals. 🧑🔬 Biorefineries rely on raw materials that have consistent quality directly after harvest and after being stored for long periods under different conditions. If at-harvest and storage variability is not accounted for, manufacturing can slow to a standstill, costing the refinery more and increasing the price of biofuel. Rachel's research is creating innovative ways for industry partners to lower the overall cost of biofuel and biochemical production. 👏 Learn more about how Rachel and the INL bioenergy team are contributing to a cleaner future: https://inl.gov/bfnuf/ #biofuels #biochemicals #WomenInSTEM #WomenInScience #YoungProfessional #scientist #research
