There’s rich-guy time. There’s university time. And, there is utility time. While managing for today, utility directors must plan for the future. While managing facilities and costs and personnel today, utility directors must jumpstart construction projects that will service the future. Those projects, including sources and facilities are harder than ever to secure. New funding often requires collective applications adding a level of practical and political complication which takes management away from that critical job of current operations. That’s where an owner’s representative can make all the difference. From specifications to changes, from benchmarking to audit, the right owner’s rep can make a tough job accountable on a continuous basis. @AnserAdvisory, we do that today so that you have the future you planned. #utilitydirectors #planning #ownersrep #ownersrepresentative Texas Water Utilities Association Texas City Management Association Texas Association of Counties

Last week, we experienced a few minor curtailments, but all facilities largely remained online without interruption. Facility Updates⛏️⚡️ ⛏️⚡️Nevada: We have decided not to extend our contract with the site operator, and as a result, we will be shutting down operations at the facility on April 27. Compass technicians will be on-site to assist with the relocation. ⛏️⚡️Ohio 2: Our on-site technicians completed the deployment of recently repaired and a few relocation miners received from the Washington service center last week. The facility experienced an electrical issue affecting 10% of the miners at the facility. This issue is now resolved, and all those miners are back online, hashing to specification. ⛏️⚡️Texas 3: The onsite team remains dedicated to addressing the onsite diagnostics and repair backlog. To help expedite these ongoing repairs, we will be deploying additional staff to the site later this month. ⛏️⚡️Texas 5: Bitmain technicians will remain at the facility to address any pending hash board repairs. The site's utilization has increased to 89%, and our team is actively coordinating the diagnosis and approval process for miners requiring repair. Compass technicians will be on site this week to help with the backlog and improve machine utilization at the facility. Please check out the Facility Update link below for the full update. 👇 https://lnkd.in/gSr33-W5

📢 To improve emergency power backup in a hospital, consider the following steps: - Regular Maintenance: Implement a strict maintenance schedule for generators, UPS systems, and other backup power equipment. Regular testing and inspection help identify and resolve issues before they affect patient care. - Redundancy: Install redundant power systems to ensure continuous operation. This can include multiple generators and UPS units to provide backup in case of primary system failures. - Monitoring and Alerts: Utilize advanced monitoring systems that provide real-time data on power system performance. These systems can send alerts in case of anomalies or failures. - Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS): Ensure that ATS units are properly maintained and equipped to seamlessly switch between primary and backup power sources without interruption. - Fuel Supply: Maintain an adequate fuel supply for generators, ensuring that fuel is regularly tested and replenished to meet the hospital's needs during extended power outages. - Staff Training: Train staff on emergency power procedures and protocols, including how to switch to backup power when necessary. Load Shedding: Implement load shedding strategies to prioritize power for critical areas like operating rooms and intensive care units during power shortages. - Energy Storage: Consider incorporating energy storage systems, such as batteries, to bridge power gaps during generator start-up or ATS switchover. Up-to-Date Technology: Invest in modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly backup power systems to improve reliability and reduce environmental impact. - Regular Drills: Conduct regular emergency power drills to ensure that staff knows how to respond during power outages effectively. Compliance: Ensure that all emergency power systems comply with relevant regulations and standards, such as those from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). - Remote Monitoring: Enable remote monitoring and control of backup power systems, allowing for quick response to issues even when off-site. By implementing these measures, hospitals can enhance their emergency power backup systems, minimize disruptions during power outages, and continue to provide critical care to patients. #hospital #healthcare #engineering #preventativemaintenance
