Rising insurance costs associated with climate change and climate events is becoming a reality in the mortgage industry.
Hear David Varano shed light on how investors can navigate and quantify climate-driven risks using ICE DeltaTerra Climate Credit Analytics. ⬇️
Climate risk is reshaping the real estate landscape. David Varano breaks down new data from ICE that quantifies climate impact and showcases how rising insurance costs could impact home prices nationwide on this episode of #DataInAction.

Progress and learning are at the heart of our climate strategy.
More than halfway through the Climate Resilience Roadmap, we have made significant progress against our goals. We’ve designed and tested new climate finance products suited to the realities and aspirations of smallholder farmer communities. Along the way, we’ve generated valuable insights about how best to support small and growing agricultural enterprises.

I wrote this 👇🏼 for all those working in climate who want help understanding your SSP from your RCP…from your TCP 😛
Tried to cover off bits not seen in other explainers….
It makes sense to think of climate scenarios as made up of three components: socioeconomic climate forcing physical climate change.
Many physical climate risk applications often only use the last bit. We often lack systematic data for incorporating the first bit - e.g., what flood plain building will Wigan allow under SSP1 but not SSP5? 🧐. This is best explored with - my favorite technique - storylines!
Just in time for #EarthDay, we’re releasing our 2023 Climate Resilience Roadmap Report.

Please join Climate & Capital Media for an important free online event: Addressing the global “climate risk intelligence arms race” with experts Sarah Bloom Raskin, Madison Condon, our #climate editor Blair Palese and moderator Kate Mackenzie. With an accelerating private-sector “climate intelligence arms race” and the rapidly increasing costs of extreme weather, there are growing concerns that private-sector climate data services are not equitable, reliable or fit for purpose. Three global experts explore the growing challenges and possible solutions that could provide climate data that is shared more equitably, reliably and with greater transparency as climate-induced extreme weather impacts increase.
When: Monday, 23 October 5:30-6:30 pm EDT (New York) / Tuesday, 24 October 8:30-9:30 am AEDT (Sydney)

Check out a preview of our latest webinar featuring Liz Cornelius, Timothy Farewell and John Harvey CEng presenting 'Climate Models in Action: Anglian Water’s Forward-Looking Approach'. https://lnkd.in/easwuUt3
Webinar Overview: As extreme weather conditions become more common and water main failures more frequent, Anglian Water faces an urgent question – how will climate change impact their supply infrastructure? More importantly, how can the company adapt to this uncertainty and ensure they are making the highest value investment decisions for their 7 million customers? This webinar will explore how Anglian Water Services and MapleSky have used weather data to create forward-looking climate models, and how these models have been embedded in the Copperleaf solution to identify the areas where the water company must intervene now – within business constraints like funding and resource availability – to secure long term resilience of the water network.
