Ledger Stax started shipping to pre-order customers TODAY! @Ledger customers deserve a definitive answer to the question “What took so long?!?!” so we put together a short film with details on what makes Ledger Stax and it's first-of-its-kind display so special, and the long road to release. The link is in the first comment of this post from Ledger. Ledger Stax contains multiple firsts: the world's first Secure Touchscreen, the first curved E ink Touchscreen, and the first Organic TFT brought to mass production. These firsts are well-described in the video above. Please watch. I want to sincerely thank my friend Tony Fadell for embarking on this journey with us. Before working on Ledger Stax I knew Tony as a friend, fellow parent and music fanatic. Through this project, I had the incredible fortune to see his book BUILD leap off the pages in a real-life example, from an idea he tried to run from but chased him down to searching for the root causes of production issues instead of giving up or even doubting. Tony is the only person I've met who can see both the circuit board and the billboard in his head at the same time. I want to shout heartfelt thanks and admiration for the entire Ledger team for seeing this project all the way through to this ship to customers. I’d name names but the list is far too long and I’d run the risk of forgetting one – we are a team. This wasn't a sprint or even a marathon. It was an ultramarathon. The pain was real. We ran it together. That yield curve was a measurement of my emotional health these last eighteen months and I know it was the same for many of you. But you did the impossible and chipped away at every single challenge week after week where most others would have given up. All the while, Ledger Stax was far from the only thing on your plate! The entire Ledger product suite and roadmap has evolved while we have been bringing Ledger Stax to market. In so many ways this feels like the starting gun, not the finish line. I hope you watch the video mentioned above, hear Johnson from E Ink say, “you didn't just make a device, you changed the world of displays,” and feel deep pride. Onward, together! Ledger Stax represents a merger of two idealistic worlds. Tony Fadell and the team he brought to the project are uncompromising on user experience and design. The Ledger team is uncompromising on security and self custody. Merging these development cultures wasn't easy, but it's the embodiment of our mission, exactly the difficult work we need to do to bring the secure self custody of digital assets to more people around the world. Increasingly this is one culture focused on bringing ease-of-use with digital ownership to humanity without ever compromising on security or self custody.

It's time – Ledger Stax, our latest device featuring the world’s first secure touchscreen, starts shipping today! Why did it take so long for us to ship Ledger Stax? In the podumentary linked in the first comment below, we pull back the curtains and explore the story of this first of its kind product. The journey to Ledger Stax – a revolutionary device featuring the world's first secure touchscreen – required innovation, collaboration and perseverance. Join us and discover the challenges and breakthroughs that went into bringing Ledger Stax to life, and how Pascal Gauthier, Tony Fadell, ian rogers, and Charles Guillemet worked across teams to make it a reality. ian rogers talks to Johnson Lee from Eink, Chuck Milligan FlexEnable, and Engine from DKE about the details. Delve into the full story in the podumentary here: https://lnkd.in/e_crmycg –––– Ledger Stax was designed by Tony Fadell, Godfather of the iPod, to create this first of its kind device. After taking a look at the crypto space, and the types of devices that were currently available, Tony came to the conclusion that what the space really needed was a device that was "a delight to use" – while still maintaining Ledger’s top-notch security. "Most devices in the past have lacked security, or they've lacked utility – or they haven't had enough visual space for you to see what it is you're signing," says Ledger CXO ian rogers. Ledger Stax was born out of a desire to address all three of these needs – a device that's secure, easy to use, and allows you to clearly read what you're signing. Ledger Stax’s screen is the world’s first secure touchscreen – but what exactly does that mean? When you’re signing transactions, it’s vital that you’re able to trust the information being shown on the screen you’re signing on. Signing transactions using your phone or computer (like when using a software wallet), means you can’t be 100% certain that what you’re seeing is what you’re signing, as phones and computers are vulnerable to hacks. All of Ledger’s devices feature a secure screen – meaning a screen that’s driven by the Secure Element, keeping it safe from hacks. That means that not only is Ledger Stax’s screen our largest screen to date and our first touchscreen, but it’s completely secure and trustworthy. The size of Ledger Stax’s secure touchscreen – 3.9 inches – also makes it much easier to read through your transactions and ensure that you fully understand what you’re signing - no need to scroll through 5 different screens to read through a transaction! On top of that, your Ledger Stax can be personalized! By giving your Ledger Stax a name, and choosing an NFT or photo as your lockscreen, your device becomes immediately recognizable as yours - even when powered off. If you have multiple Ledger Stax, the magnets in the device also allow them to be easily stacked together! Watch the full video, linked in the first comment.

Awesome awesomeness It seems resilience won out in the end. Honestly, I roasted y’all because I thought you had thrown in the towel, but I’m happy to be wholly proven wrong … then again, what can I say? I’m American-made lol Ok, now that the Ledger has shipped, my question is what can we learn from the evolution of the execution and delivery? I’m a forever learner, so please do a share if possible Thank you and keep pushing higher!
