We are more than a little disappointed that Reuters did not give us an opportunity to comment on their most recent stories on Canoo. This is in spite of #Reuters Standards, Values and Style Guide that state: ‘Reporters have a duty of fairness to give the subjects of such stories the opportunity to put their side.’ Had Reuters called Canoo for comment we would have told them that we raised $324 million in 2022, and $288 million in 2023 and we are currently in discussions with several entities and individuals about investing in the company this year. We would have also told them that we have begun manufacturing, expect to step up our manufacturing effort this year, and have a backlog of orders. And, that we are not in the consumer market, we are in the commercial market. Canoo executives, including its CEO, have every confidence in the company. In fact, since mid-2020 and through 2023, Mr. Aquila has invested more than $350 million in the company’s stock.

Doing something for the first time is scary.... When I joined Cuckoo, I had no idea what I would be walking into. Bringing together 5 companies into one, getting our people aligned under what is a brand new company - where do you start? Well, you start with values. Values underpin every single thing we do in our lives. Be that when we're children, at school, engaging with friends and when we're at work. Our values define us as people. So, we've been on an incredible journey to define our company values - from scratch. We held interactive sessions with our EC, our ELT and all of our people to ask them - what is the culture you want at Cuckoo? We captured over 70 value statements and crunched them down into three core values that will underpin everything we do. We are united - This is all about creating belonging at work. Allowing our people to be themselves and by doing so, able to work collectively towards our shared vision. We are different - We celebrate originality, thriving off our diverse teams and by doing so, we're able to deliver something truly unique for our people and customers We are Cuckoo - By being United, by doing things Differently, we can really feel proud of the company we work for and celebrate each others success. This is the first time I have been given the autonomy to help deliver something so fundamentally important to a businesses success and I couldn't be more proud of the incredible team around me, and all of our people, for their help, support, input and honesty to help shape these.
